Friday Fanwork Recs: Space & Identity
It’s Friday, which means rec time! Each week, we're offering you the chance to submit your favourite fics and other fanworks for our two themes. Self-recs are welcome and of course you can still make new recs once Friday has passed!
This week, theme #1 is ‘SPACE’ (suggested by
fluffypanda) -- Tony goes into space to work with the Guardians of the Galaxy and Steve misses him terribly? Astronaut AU? Steve becoming a full-on Nasa geek after being defrosted? Galactic enemies threatening Earth again? Aliens made them do it (in space)? Accidental marriage due to strange alien customs on the planet they're stranded?Theme #2 is 'IDENTITY' -- Identity in all its forms, whether its the good old identity porn, mistaken identity, sexual or gender identity, or any other type you can think of.

But nothing is ever easy for Tony. As he wrestles with his secret desire for his new captain and his not-so-dormant fears, another mission starts to go wrong, and Tony becomes aware that Steve has secrets of his own -- and the truth could change everything.
Comment: Everbody probably knows this but I'm reccing it anyway because it's one of my favourite fics ever and stayed with me for a long time after I read it. Seamlessly marries the Star Trek universe with the 616 characters. Really love the backstories for everyone, the getting to know each other for Tony and Steve, and all the little details of both canons that made it into the worldbuilding.
Could also be posted under "Identity" because there's quite a bit of Identity Porn going on, with Steve/Captain America even, which is not half as common as the Tony/Iron Man version.
