The funny thing is for this I could have used a French/English dictionary since I suck at translating and some words I knew in English just wouldn't come to me in German so I needed to look them up in my English/German dictionary and then look for the French translation in my French/German dictionary

you know what´s even better than this?
My friends and myself were overjoyed when we didn´t have Latin anymore. We were enthusiastic.
(Actually, the whole class wanted a big ceremony where we would all burn our Latin books, but we were too stupid to organize the big bonfire.)
And what happens the next year? when we speak about homework and translations, all of us agreed that if we look for a word, the Latin one comes to our minds first.
Basically we all hated Latin. We loathed it.
And now we sit there, pondering over a simple English word and then we go:
"You know, I still know the Latin one."
All of us nod.
"Yeah, me too."

that´s creepy^^

Well, German is supposed to be a difficult foreign language, not that I'd know. *grins*
Even we Germans know that it´s a difficult one. ^^
