I can sympathize. I fought through 5 years of Latin myself...literally, fought. (Except for 9th grade. We got another teacher and my grades went up to the 90%limit without actually studying.)
Our first Latin teacher was famous for making students cry. The last one ended up in a facility for mentally challenged people.
