New Bingo Round: BINGO 2015!

The old round has come to an end; a new game begins! If you have fills you'd like to claim for the previous round, please check out here. If you're interested in getting a new bingo card, this post is the place to be!

The goal: Fill prompts to complete a line (row, column, or diagonal). Feeling adventurous? Try for a blackout (fill every prompt on your card).

  • Fills must be original and created specifically for your bingo card. They must not have been submitted for any other organized fandom challenge (such as bangs, exchanges, etc). You are welcome to use supplementary prompts from any source (including 890fifth, avengerskink, etc). Special exception: works created for the 2015 C-IM Tiny Reverse Bang can be counted as bingo fills!

  • Fills can be either fic (500+ words), art (no manips), or podfic (500+ words)

  • A fill may only count toward ONE space/prompt. This includes multi-chaptered fills.

Posting fills:
Fills can be posted wherever you like, but must be tagged with something like 'bingo', 'cap-ironman bingo fill', etc. We encourage (but do not require) you to post your fics to the comm with the 'bingo!' tag, use the #stonybingo tag on tumblr, or add your fic to the AO3 collection.

Cards and prompts: Some prompts are specific, some are open to interpretation. Let us know if you would like clarification on one of your prompts. For image prompts, you are not required to stick to the same format or universe, though you may choose to do so. (For example, if your visual prompt is a 616 panel, you don't have to do a 616 fill.)

You have the option to include KINK prompts. Sorry, we are not allowing omissions. If you receive a prompt on your card that you don't know or dislike, just work around it. Randomness and risk are part of the fun!

EDIT (for clarification): Some prompts are related to a format type, such as 'writing format: outsider pov', 'art format: line art', or 'podfic format: atmospheric'. You get to pic what type of format prompts you'd like to include. Don't worry, if you choose not to include (for example) art format prompts, you can still draw stuff for fills - you just won't get those specific prompts on your card.

SAMPLE bingo card

To receive your STONY bingo card, leave a comment with answers to the following:
Username?
Kink or no kink?
Fic, art, or podfic (select at least one)?
(EDIT for clarification: This refers to 'format' prompts only. Regardless of what you choose, you can still use any of the three to fill prompts. Please see above for more detail.)

Your card will be posted to as a reply to your comment, so if you comment anon, be sure to check back. Due to time zones and stuff, it may take us a day or two to respond. You may request a second card once you have completed a line on your first card.

This round will end January 31st, 2016!

What constitutes as Western?

Also: If I write a sequel to an already published work of mine (sequel is unpublished) can that count?

AU: Western would be to write something that is in the western genre, which is generally associated with frontier expansion back in the American west (things like cowboy movies, building the railroad, etc) but could be taking place on another planet (ala Firefly) if it still has the same feel of cowboys, leather dusters, gunslingers, exploration, new frontier, settlers in a new land, etc. I can provide some links with more info on the genre if you link.

Re: the sequel question, yep, that's fine!

Sorry for asking so many questions but what is the picture on the bottom of the S and O

[identity profile] teyke.livejournal.com 2015-08-21 10:57 pm (UTC)(link)
No problem! Some of the pictures are a bit obscure :P The one at the bottom of the S is Steve sketching Stark Tower, from a deleted scene (http://screenrant.com/avengers-deleted-scene-captain-america/) set at the beginning of the Avengers. The one at the bottom of the O is a quinjet.

(Edit: Hum, apparently they didn't finish the special effects, so instead of seeing Stark Tower in the background it shows the Metlife Building, which is there in real life, and Steve appears to be drawing something from his imagination :P I could have sworn I've seen a version with the Tower edited in, but I can't seem to find one now so I may be mis-remembering.)

I'm kind of confused now. Is the prompt based on what Steve's drawing from memory or the deleted scene?

Sorry again for asking so many questions.

And that clip was awesome. How could they have *not* started the Avengers with that?

It could be either! Prompts are kinda loose - so long as the resulting fic is kinda related, you're good. In fact, since Steve isn't shown in the actual image, it could even be someone else drawing, or Steve drawing something else, etc, etc.

It is an awesome clip, isn't it? :D I confess, partly I linked it because I wanted to give you some context better than 'image from a deleted scene!' but also because... aww, it's such a good scene.

Don't worry about asking questions, seriously :D It's all cool, it helps me figure out what might need to be tweaked with the bingo next round, and it gives me excuses to share awesome deleted scenes :D
