New Bingo Round: BINGO 2015!

The old round has come to an end; a new game begins! If you have fills you'd like to claim for the previous round, please check out here. If you're interested in getting a new bingo card, this post is the place to be!

The goal: Fill prompts to complete a line (row, column, or diagonal). Feeling adventurous? Try for a blackout (fill every prompt on your card).

  • Fills must be original and created specifically for your bingo card. They must not have been submitted for any other organized fandom challenge (such as bangs, exchanges, etc). You are welcome to use supplementary prompts from any source (including 890fifth, avengerskink, etc). Special exception: works created for the 2015 C-IM Tiny Reverse Bang can be counted as bingo fills!

  • Fills can be either fic (500+ words), art (no manips), or podfic (500+ words)

  • A fill may only count toward ONE space/prompt. This includes multi-chaptered fills.

Posting fills:
Fills can be posted wherever you like, but must be tagged with something like 'bingo', 'cap-ironman bingo fill', etc. We encourage (but do not require) you to post your fics to the comm with the 'bingo!' tag, use the #stonybingo tag on tumblr, or add your fic to the AO3 collection.

Cards and prompts: Some prompts are specific, some are open to interpretation. Let us know if you would like clarification on one of your prompts. For image prompts, you are not required to stick to the same format or universe, though you may choose to do so. (For example, if your visual prompt is a 616 panel, you don't have to do a 616 fill.)

You have the option to include KINK prompts. Sorry, we are not allowing omissions. If you receive a prompt on your card that you don't know or dislike, just work around it. Randomness and risk are part of the fun!

EDIT (for clarification): Some prompts are related to a format type, such as 'writing format: outsider pov', 'art format: line art', or 'podfic format: atmospheric'. You get to pic what type of format prompts you'd like to include. Don't worry, if you choose not to include (for example) art format prompts, you can still draw stuff for fills - you just won't get those specific prompts on your card.

SAMPLE bingo card

To receive your STONY bingo card, leave a comment with answers to the following:
Username?
Kink or no kink?
Fic, art, or podfic (select at least one)?
(EDIT for clarification: This refers to 'format' prompts only. Regardless of what you choose, you can still use any of the three to fill prompts. Please see above for more detail.)

Your card will be posted to as a reply to your comment, so if you comment anon, be sure to check back. Due to time zones and stuff, it may take us a day or two to respond. You may request a second card once you have completed a line on your first card.

This round will end January 31st, 2016!

The RNG does that :D I think there's only been one card so far where it had a column of ALL pictures, but sometimes it's like KINK KINK HAVE ALL THE KINK or ALL THE WRITING PROMPTS FOR YOU.

I'm glad you find your card to be sufficiently differently challenging! :)

First of all, aaAaAaAaaaaa this gave me too many new ideas, I'm having trouble deciding which one to concentrate on o_O

Secondly, why I'm actually writing this, I'd like to ask about two of the prompts on my card:

-I fought the law
-(Team) Mom and Dad

For both, of the above, I'm just wondering if they refer to something specific (the first one is a song, right?), or is it just "interpret as you wish" ?

Eenie meenie miney moe? :D

Bingo prompts are completely and totally 'interpret as you wish'. The first one... I too think it comes from a song? And for the second one I was just thinking of 'oh, hey, team mom and dad', because they often fall into those roles in canon. But, rule for bingo is absolutely 'do what it inspires you to do', so do something completely 180 from whatever the person who thought up the prompt was inspired by, if you like, and it will be awesome :D

(I'm not sure this comment is terribly coherent; I'm on my way to bed. Hopefully the part about 'yes, interpret as you wish' is clear, lol.)

Yay, good, that's definitely coherent enough, thank you. I just wanted to check that it really is just "do whatever you think the prompt could mean", and that I'm not missing any fanon / tropes / stuff that I should know because I haven't been very active in fandom lately. :)

Ohkay, I have yet another question! Just one more, hopefully.

So. I have the kidfic/mpreg square there in my card. I thought I had figured out what to do with it. I'm assuming I can read it as kidfic and/or mpreg, and was going to go for the kidfic part. However, the thing I had in mind was something involving de-aging, and some other people's bingo cards have a prompt that specifically says de-aged. So, the question is, can I do a de-aging fic for the kidfic prompt, or do I need to do something with an actual child and not a de-aged Avenger in it?

[identity profile] teyke.livejournal.com 2015-09-17 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
'Interpret as you wish' still totally applies. If 'kidfic' makes you think of avenger-as-a-kid, then totally write avenger-as-a-kid! (Basically: there should be a mention of a kid somewhere. Who or what that kid is, and how they wound up as a kid, is up to you.)

[identity profile] veldeia.livejournal.com 2015-09-17 04:57 am (UTC)(link)
Yay and whew! From now on, I'll try go with whatever I feel like writing instead of neurotically asking for clarifications...

This challenge is awesome, by the way, as are you, for always replying so promptly to questions related to it. :)

You're totally welcome! Bingo is meant to be low-stress, so, do try not to worry about it too much :D But, if you do have further questions, don't worry about asking, either - I love the bingo and answering questions is no chore at all ;)
