Comment Fic Fest!

Photobucket

In honor of [community profile] three_weeks_for_dw, we're hosting a Steve/Tony comment fic fest. Come and leave prompts and watch as, like magic, they are filled! Or be the magic and fill prompts!

The Rules:

1. All prompts should either be Steve or Tony gen, or Steve/Tony. Other pairings are allowed as long as Steve/Tony is included. Threesomes and moresomes are fine.

2. Anonymous posting will be on. Be respectful of each other and of the characters. No bashing.

3. One prompt per comment. Fic should be posted as replies to the prompt they are filling. If a fic does not fit in one comment, separate it into multiple comments and label them 'part one', 'part two', etc., in the subject line. Feel free to write fic for prompts that have already been filled. The more the merrier!

4. If your fic contains anything in our mandatory warning policy (rape, noncon, dubcon, or underage sex, character death, and explicit torture) please warn for it in the subject line.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. And most importantly, have fun!

This is the tale of how The Savage Land was discovered part I

You must remember this/a kiss is just a kiss/ a sigh is just a sigh...

Steve hummed the words to the strains of Time Goes By playing in the background. As much as Tony had these nifty ways playing music, with mp3s and CDs, nothing compared to a grammar phone. Okay, a record player might have come in a close second, but still. The crackle and hiss through the song was atmospheric. And, Steve thought as he wiped the silver spoon with a soft, white towel, before placing it to the right of the table setting. He was all about atmosphere.

The breakfast nook covered with a checked table cloth, the glint of light along the lines of the cutlery. The breadbasket in the middle of the table, with long loves of bread, oven fresh, kept warm under a white towel. Fretfully, Steve looked towards the stove. Jarvis had helped him with the fragrant rice and spicy chicken, and helpfully set the oven to warm. The starter dish sat on the stove in its pot, humming gently to itself. So far, so predictable. Still, Steve thought, you couldn’t trust technology at all.

“Hey,” Tony came in, and sniffed the air appreciatively, as he pushed the goggles off his face and in his hair like an alice band. “Something smells amazing in here.”

“Since I invited you down for lunch, I thought I’d treat you to something other than MRE’s or those sticks that you have scattered in your lab.”

“Beef and fruit jerky, just what a growing boy needs, but,” he stepped into Steve’s space, nuzzling the secret breadth between his ear and throat. “Food is good, always good.”

“Especially when someone else is cooking.”

Tony sat down, closed his eyes in bliss as the first taste of the soup tripped across his tongue. The strong, sharp crumbly taste of stilton a solid counterpoint to the light, green notes of broccoli, chased with hand made cracked pepper bread.

“So go-“ Tony started, his compliment interrupted by the tremor of the ground beneath his feet. The dish shook, the door groaned as its hinges gave way. “MMMM, HULK SMELL SOMETHING GOOD!”

“Uh, yeah, big guy,” Tony turned, spoon in hand, ready to explain the situation. “You see, Steve and I-“

“NO, YOU DON’T SMELL GOOD, FOOD SMELLS GOOD.” Hulk sat down, the chair creaking dangerously under his weight - and helped himself to entire loaves of bread. “GOOD FOOD. HULK COMPLIMENTS CHEF. CAN HULK HAVE MORE?”

Steve and Tony exchanged a look, and Steve shrugged. You couldn’t turn down a request, and Hulk was hungry and-

“Hey, did you say food, big guy?” Steve looked up, only to see Spiderman skuddering on the ceiling above them both. “This smells delish? Hey, Cap, you wouldn’t mind-?”

“No, not at all. A battalion travels on its stomach, right?” Steve held a loaf of bread above his head, sending an Aw shucks look in Tony’s direction. Tony missed that, as he folded his arms across his chest and sent Hulk sulky dark looks from the corner of his eye.

oOo

Round two found Steve and Tony involved in a - cinch - in the greenhouse just on the margins of the mansion.

“You have a green house.” Steve stepped inside, and the temperature went from New York mild one minute to his shirt being completely drenched by humidity. The flower beds were moist, and springy, the lighting dim. There wasn’t much in terms of plant life here, and Steve didn’t know much about green houses to think about why. He half opened his mouth to take air in, due to it being as thick as soup. “Of course you’d have a green house.”

“Hmm mmm.” Forgoing all manner of composure, Tony jumped on Steve, and they went tumbling into the flower beds, and Steve didn’t need to breathe air, just Tony’s tongue in his mouth, and hands, slick with mud and sweat all over his body.

“Not exactly dinner and a movie,” Steve tried to be apologetic, but Tony, gallant as all get out, didn’t really care, and Steve twisted, landing on top of Tony, hands drifting under his shirt.

“Hmm, oh yeah, just like that,” Tony half laughed, half moaned as Steve’s teeth dragged along his clavicle. “Do that ag- OW!” Tony’s body stiffened, absolutely rigid, and Steve drew back. “I-“ he started, before feeling a sharp pinch at his ankle. Before he could even think, another twinge, as if his skin got caught between a sharp pair of pliers.

“What the-?” Tony shot up, and started swatting at his skin, frantically scratching at all exposed areas. Their gazes met and they hissed the same word. “Ants” Then screamed: “HANK!”

***

“Allergies to ant bites are pretty common,” Jan’s presence soothed as much as the ointment she handed over to Steve. He nodded his thanks as he smeared it along his arms. “I’m okay,” he said, “my enhanced biology won’t make the stings hang around, but Tony on the other hand-“

At that, Jan and Steve looked in the direction of Tony, and winced. “Can he speak?” Jan whispered. “Can he see?”

“I mighth be a heavinghhth, swollenth blobth of a mannnggg,” Tony huffed, his tones half slurred and spitting. “But I still havethh possession of my sensesth. Barely.”

“According to Hank’s calculations, you should be as right as anything in the next hour or so. He’s wondering how his ants escaped from their formicarium.”

“HANKTH!” Tony yelled, trying to clench his hands into fists, but failing. With that, Jan hastily bade her goodbyes and fled.

oOo

“I don’t see why we need to be sneaking away,” Steve whispered, fastening his seatbelt.

“Because every time we try to get quality time, we keep getting cockblocked.”

“I don’t think they mean it,” Steve observed, as Tony went through the motions of the cockpit, as the jet levelled off, and he set it into stealth mode. “It’s just been bad luck, ‘sall.”

The jet finally levelled off, and Tony set it on cruise control. Only then, he turned towards Steve, and let fly the salvo.

“Johnny Storm choosing that time to fall into the Jacuzzi? Turning our - bath into clouds of steam?”

“My skin never felt better,” Steve stroked his chin. “Jan might have a point with this whole looking after your skin thing. I’ve never felt so-”

Tony waggled his eyebrows rakishly. “So?”

Steve’s smile was just as wicked as Tony’s. “You wanna find out?”

His answer came in the form of a grin, as they threw themselves at each other. Grasped and clung, like hope and prayer.

“We’re so doing this!” Tony toed off his shoes, reached for his buckle.

“Oh yeah,” Steve dimpled as he grabbed at Tony.

oOo

No matter how much they came together, Steve thought. It was always like the first time. Tony tasted of gum, fruit jerky and less like bad temper. They crashed against the floor of the plane, shrugging and tugging at clothing.

“All week, when I was sipping liquids… through a straw…” Tony admitted between sighs and long kisses. “I just wanted this.” The word this, an intent made manifest, his fingers circling Steve’s girth, and oh yeah.

It was always like this with Tony, as they went up, up up- suspended in flight before coming down to a bump. The excitement was going up again.

“C’mon, I wan’” Steve’s breath caught, as Tony’s fingers, slick and insistent, pressed at his opening.
“Patience, you keep telling me, is a virtue, remember?”

“When trying to untangle yourself from Spiderman’s web, sure. But this- wait.”

“That’s my line,” Tony laughed in Steve’s ear, only for Steve to grab his wrist.

“The jet – it’s going down.”

“What?” Tony shook his head, his eyes going from a bleary haze to business. They might be crashing to their doom, Steve chided himself. Now was not the time for his heart to go pit a pat.

“You’re right,” Tony zoomed towards the controls, with Steve sitting upward, hard and aching. It’s not only our teammates that’s cockblocking us, Steve thought peevishly. Technology seemed to be in on the game as well.

Naked as a jaybird, Tony grabbed the joystick, as he tried to control the pitch and roll of the plane. A flick of switches, and Steve identified the problem almost as quickly as Tony did.

“We have no radio signal,” Tony explained unnecessarily “Our controls are pretty much shot – as if the magnetic fields have gone wack.”

“Sh-oot,” Steve sat down and buckled up, immediately regretting having his hot, sticky, naked body on the leather seats. The jet rattled and shuddered, as Tony pulled at the controls. “Steady as she goes- we’re going down!”

***

“Any landing you can walk away from…” Steve said later, as they scurried out. A wing of the Qunijet twisted, hauled off to one side. Nothing but strange flora and fauna –as far as the eye could see. Steve hauled on his trousers, and slipped into his shirt. He scanned the skies about them. A strange colour, of twilight with just a bit too much yellow.

Well, as much as sex is good for the soul, it is kind of the point of the prompt, isn't it?

Maybe they just need to try so hard (ha!). :D

“Yeah,” Tony scratched his head. “I just-“

“Did you hear that?” Steve cupped a hand to his ear.

“Hear what?”

A high pitched roar – not unlike an elephant’s cry- shook the air. Above them, a winged beast – which probably existed during the Cretaceous period flew over their heads, its wingspan the size of a jumbo aircraft.

“That looks like an Asungaripterus,” Steve commented. “ Hulk’s a fan. He likes the colouring books from National Geographic.”

“Vegetarian or carnivore?”

“Normally fish, molluscs, crabs and plankton for some species,” Steve grabbed Tony’s hand, as the shadow shifted, and the bird started to move. “But we need to run. Now.”

“Run, where?”

“Towards the plane,” Steve barked. “Stay near the bushes, don’t run in a straight line; if you slip, go flat, and half crawl. We stand a better chance of getting towards the plane that way.”

“You’re scaring me, Cap.”

Steve kept his eyes moving, scanning, as they started running towards the plane. His hands hitched for his shield, anything, and had to be satisfied with grabbing a rock. The cries got louder, and they found themselves buffeted by the wind generated by the beating of the monster’s wings.

“I –” Tony started to cough, choking on the mini dust storm encircling them. Steve quickly stripped off his shirt, and wrapped it around Tony’s nose and mouth. “C’mon, soldier,” he cried, huddling Tony against him. “We’re almost there.”

Tony continued coughing, almost overcome, and Steve half tugged, half shuffled. The dust storm made it increasingly hard to see, and they were in danger of not making it.

No, Steve pressed on, almost going down with Tony, as Tony stumbled and lost his footing.

The cries of the beast right on top of them. Steve made a decision, and hoping that it wouldn’t be curtains for them both, dragged Tony to the ground, shielding him with his body. Holding Tony down, hoping that the dust storm might impair the flying reptile’s sense of smell, before it soared off.

“Steve.”

“Just hold on, okay?” Steve clung to Tony, hoping that they were flattened enough against the ground.

Holding onto Tony, Steve closed his eyes tightly, expecting the worst.

***

Silence, so deafening, it screamed. No chirping of birds, or crackling of bushes. Nothing but the absence of sound rang in Steve’s ears, and the only question that weighed on his mind sputtered and coughed by Tony a few minutes later.

“We’re alive?”

“Yeah,” Steve wiped the dust from his eyes, as he scrambled to his feet, and helped Tony up. “Are you okay?”

“Allergies.” Tony sniffled.

“Let’s get back to the plane,” Steve wiped at his eyes. “If we’re going to be a snack for some beastie, I’d rather them have to work for it, like opening a sardine can.”

“Yeah,” Tony wiped at his nose with the back of his hand. “I think this place is triggering some weird kind of hay fever.”

“C’mon,” Steve said, nudging them towards the plane. They’d gotten nearer than they thought, before that mini sandstorm.

Soon, they stumbled into the pane, and with some discomfort, slipping out of their clothes. All the while with Tony sniffling, and Steve trying to get sand out of everywhere, and he meant every where.

Tony blew his nose on the rag that was formerly known as his shirt. He he sat in the chair of the cockpit and shook his head sadly, as he came to an uncomfortable truth. “We’re never going to get laid at this rate, are we? We’re trapped in some sort of – Savage Land, away from any sort of tech and overrun with Asungaripterus or is it Asungaripteri?”

Steve bit his lower lip, as he handed Tony a box of tissues. “I don’t know,” he smiled at Tony. “Probably not now, but when we do, it will be something.”

“Ahh, Steve,” Tony grinned, as he leaned over to close the space between them both. Steve’s eyes slid closed as their lips moved to touch. Only for an “ACHOO!” and the splash of sticky mucus across his nose and mouth.

“Okay,” Steve wiped at his nose and mouth, flicked his hand and a dollop of mucus landed on the floor, with a weighty plop. “That is disgusting.”

At this announcement, Tony broke out in laughter, and Steve joined in.

Okay, Steve thought. He was so going to die of blueballs, but at least he’d die with the person that made his heart go pitter pat, and that wasn’t a bad thing, right?

Asungaripteri,” he answered. “I think.”

Fin.

LOL, Thanks. The story would have gotten longer, but I think in that one, Steve and Tony spontaneously combust. Oh, the pity.

Thanks for reading!

This is a fun story. I thought the dinosaur chase was very exciting.

Poor Steve and Tony. I'm sure they'll find a moment eventually.

Awww... The boys should probably try for some quality time in space next. They'll probably end up discovering a new planet or making first contact with some new civilization... (Hey! Maybe that's how humanity came into contact with the Inhumans in MA!!! \o_O/)

Humanity'll thank them for their attempts to get laid, that's for sure! *g*

But this is shaping up to be cute, poor boys getting cockblocked so much!
