I love everything you posted, it's all so good? How is our ship so good?? I also cry a lot over Steve, so I'm with ya there.

I see (and bookmarked) your TWG article, but it reminded me of this older one I ran across in the fall called, I kid you not, "The Transformative Power of Hot, Gay Sex," and it's actually a really interesting early look at online fandom and practices.

We are so spoiled to have a ship where canon provides SO MUCH goodness for us, and fandom just piles it on!

And wow, I was never into Smallville fandom but this article is delightful! I've read some stuff on fandom and how it queers spaces, and it's always fun times :) thanks for the link!

It's so strange to think about all the academic articles Smallville had one or two seasons in, and then it kind of dried up because it became a different show? Like the entire back half could be considered a live action JLA show and it's fantastic but also deeply silly. The show's worth checking out, though! I love writing about it.
