Movie Myths FTW
Hey All! Ok... this isn't horribly spoilery for the Iron Man movie... cuz the scene behind the cut was already in the trailer for the movie... but yeah so there is this rumor myth thingy going around the intarweb that Captain America's shield is in the Iron Man movie. I was at first very skeptical... sounds like just a bunch of fan!boy and fan!girl wishful thinking right? well I have some pictures and such for you to debate.
so they say that thing with a star like looking thing in the middle left is the shield (maybe it's just a trick of the light?)

nope... it stays there the whole time... so it's not a trick of the light... (so maybe it just LOOKS kinda like the shield but is just a coincidence?)
but wait!!
here is a still from the movie trailer before the movie came out! and look! no shield... that means someone went through the effort of putting it in there! why would they do that?
hmmmmmm........
what do you think??
ETA: Well! Since this is pretty much confirmed! (see comments below) what do you think it could mean plot wise?
Maybe-- Tony's movie!dad worked for the Manhattan project right? so that means he could have worked on other projects too right? including something to do with making cap's shield... so he'd have old prototype ones.. and with Tony trying to work out which metals work the best for his armor... he might have had an old one out to reverse engineer it... for example...
ETA: It's pretty much confirmed-- but why is it there?

ETA2: By the way... How many times have you guys seen the Iron Man movie? I've seen it 5 times... and hopefully number six will be on Tuesday when I get back from a road trip! ^___^
