So in the 2011 title S.H.I.E.L.D., we learn that Howard Stark was planning to fake his death to go gallivanting with Leonardo da Vinci, etc. It's clearly marked 616. So... did he not die, or was this a Pantone 194 herring-colored plot thread to be picked up or not at a later date? Was it ever dealt with? What about Maria?

The only thing I know is that that title was apparently never finished but Hickman might come back to do it? Or so I read a few weeks ago. That's probably not very helpful, sorry!
