Stone, River, Wind by Arukou (comics!AU, 33956 words, RBB 2018)
Summary: Tonepheny has lived a terrible life ever since he was first captured and forced into servitude, but his new master is like no master he's ever known before. This strange hedge knight seems to actually care.
Comment: Nomad!Steve in a Fantasy-Fairytale-Mix! The worldbuilding in this one was fun, great read.

Trying to find the in-betweens by Gottalovev (MCU, 4338 words, Holiday Exchange 2016)
Summary: The Avengers might be broken up, but Steve can't stand idly by while someone is publicly threatening Tony's life.
Comment: One of my favourite post-CA:CW stories with bonus identity porn. Steve wants to protect Tony but can't reveal who is. So great.

Wonders of the World (The Keep Me Safe from Harm Remix) by Sineala (616, 9848 words, Remix-Exchange 2018)
Summary: Steve, America's top cop, meets Tony, in the middle of launching Resilient, in a hotel room in Seattle. There, Steve finds unexpected comfort in Tony's presence. It wasn't supposed to be an assignation. But then, a snowstorm wasn't supposed to strand them together, either.
Comment: I particularly love this for Steve's inner struggle with what he is doing with the Secret Avengers and for Tony's advice ("this isn't you, stop doing it"). And yet, they are also so comfortable and warm and funny with each other, too.

Ghosts of the Gilded Age by Teaberryblue (Comics AU/multiverse, 20692 words, Holiday-Exchange 2017)
Summary: In 1883 New York, Tony Stark, millionaire inventor, is a man of science, reason, and a sense of humor that other people sometimes even appreciate. That's why he has no time for the latest popular obsession with seances, the supernatural, and the afterlife. Until a ghost finds him.
Comment: Such a great AU - feels a bit noir-ish in terms of the Tony characterization, but is actually Victorian. Lovely plot and worldbuilding, love how the multiverse is used here, the open ending of Tony still having to meet his Steve.

Iron Man: The Watchers of the Moon by Ranoutofrun (ambiguous universe, Remix Madness 2017)
Summary: Will the moon ever be the peaceful passenger for our world again, will the alien menace be defeated, will the plot ever be resolved....? The idea continues....
Comment: Steve is a really good artist and apparently he has some ... favourite subjects. Or objects. :-D

The Great Reward by Fictionforlife (616-ish, Holiday Exchange 2014)
Summary: Because Tony doesn't always fight spine-chilling, blood-curdling villains. Sometimes it's an annoying sorcerer who has a knack for pink, a giant octopus that spurts constructive adhesive rather aggressively, hundreds of large orange balls that trap people inside and take them on a trip through space, or a human-tree who floods New York with mistletoes. It's both hilarious and annoying as hell, but it's still hard work. And hard work gets rewarded.
Comment: This is so deadpan and cute and I love the progression of expressions on Tony's face to bits.
