Okay, this was a really awesome blending on movie-verse and comics-verse! I love the idea of Tony kind-of-maybe-missing the arc reactor, and I like Steve knowing him well enough to know that, and the mental images of Tony all flushed and rumpled and excited from flying is wonderful. And this: "He puts a hand on Tony’s shoulder, massages it, digs fingers into skin and tendon and bone. Tony leans into it, lets a long breath out from between his lips." made me want to read massage fic. *grins*
