AN: Italics indicate thoughts. Constructive criticism welcome. I'm writing a sequel to Transmogrification that will probably turn into a series. It was gonna be a one off thing, but the idea is stuck in my head and I really need to get it out. Props to [profile] moonangelchan for being my beta.

Steve had been looking everywhere for Tony. After the battle with Doom, the armored hero had disappeared. However instead the of his friend, Steve had found a tiny black kitten with a white star on his chest in Doom's lab. The kitten seemed happy to see Steve, which was slightly discomforting. Doom was probably going to use it for some experiment or ritual. Steve pitied the poor creature if that was the case and hoped nothing too bad had happened to it. Where is Tony? Steve was starting to worry.

Tony on the other hand was more confused than anything else. Why am I a cat? What the hell happened? Questions and worrying conclusions darted around his mind. The New Avengers  needed to know he was safe, and so, he had formed some plans of how to inform the rest of his team about his . . . current condition.

Steve walked into the main hall of the old mansion Doom had been using as a lair. The rest of the New Avenger were waiting for him. "Any luck?" Steve asked the group. They all just shook their heads.

Spider-Man, after spotting the small bundle in his arms, asked "Wait, why do you have a cat?"

"I found him in the lab," was the response.

"Well, how do you know he's not some evil Doom-kitty then?" Peter continued, "Or an evil zombie-doom-kitty?"

This is getting ridiculous, Tony sighed internally, I wonder if the Extremis still works? He felt out for a wireless connection.  It does, good, now all I have to do is send the a message telling them that I am . . . the cat.

"
I'll check and see if he's on the Quinjet," Jessica offered. Steve nodded his head and Spider-Woman ran off to the jet. A few minutes later she returned with an interesting expression on her face, part confusion, part disbelief, and part amusement. She looked at the kitten in Steve's hand and smirked.
"I know where Tony is, he sent a message via Extemis," was all she said, still looking at the kitten.

Captain America didn't see what was so funny, "Well then, where is he?" he asked, feeling rather agitated by this point. If Tony could send messages, why wasn't he trying to meet up with them?

Spider-Woman just grinned. "You're holding him."
