Amazing as always! These were some of the lines I really liked:

Iron Man was happy to listen to Steve go on about his own problems, it seemed, but didn't trust Steve enough to return the favor.

Poor Steve. If only he knew how difficult it is for Tony to even think about his problems, much less talk to other people about them. But it shows how much Tony has come to care about him, if he can listen to him vent about his issues and actually listen.

He made it sound as if he'd had a change of heart after an extensive career in the arms business.

I don't know if you meant to do this or not, but this is just so ironic, especially since Tony really did have a change of heart after his ordeal. Literally.

Steve wondered if Iron Man had been on that same fact-finding investigation, if he was the one who had sacrificed himself for Stark. It would explain how he had been injured, and why Stark had spent what had to be considerable time and money designing and building him the armor.

This amuses me for some reason. I think it's because Steve -since he doesn't know about Iron Man's true identity- has to make a guess. And -as we as human beings are rather infamously known to do- his imagination gets a bit carried away when he tries to figure out why exactly Iron Man never seems to take off his suit. It's so cute.
