Welcome to a new edition of the Cap-Iron Man Community Newsletter! This month is a big one, with Big Bang claims happening and our Tiny Reverse Bang is wrapping up. We will also be checking in with our generous pinch hitters and people on our beta reader list.

This newsletter gives you an overview of what's been happening at cap_ironman, which upcoming Steve/Tony events to look out for, and a round-up of all the wonderful things that our lovely Steve/Tony creators shared with us since the last newsletter.

• Our Tiny Reverse Bang is currently in Amnesty Week! This flashworks event is wrapping up, and now is your time to participate if you haven't yet! You can check out the full schedule here.


• STONY Bingo 2020 Round 2 is open - you can request a card at any time throughout the round!


• We also have our Comment Bingo, which you can request a card for until the round's deadline on October 31st.


• Our Big Bang is nearing the end of the drafting phase - and artist claims will be happening on September 26th! You can find all the guidelines here in our information post!

• Remix Revival is a multifandom remix challenge similar to the cap-ironman Remix Event. Signups for the exchange have closed, but Remix Madness is open.


• Fandomgiftbox, a mid-year "stocking"-type event, is still open for gifts until September 6th, at which point all the gifts will be revealed!


• Lights on Park Ave round 13 has started and will run until September 30. This month's theme is time


• Stony Week ran on August 23-29 - have a look at what was created and shared.


• Marvel Bang artist signups remain open until October 1st this year.

• post or announce your work in one of our community spaces: our Dreamwidth or Livejournal
• post to our Cap-Iron Man Bingo Collection on AO3 or Cap-Iron Man Fanworks Collection on AO3
• leaving a fill in current SteveTony Kink Meme round
• post on Tumblr or Twitter and mention cap_ironman (so that we get a notification).

Due to the serum throwing his hormones into overdrive, Steve gets random erections at the most inopportune of times. A few years on and he has it mostly under control, but one day, he’s fighting Tony Stark, trying to bodily box him in, and Steve Jr. decides to sit up and take notice.

Steve Rogers is fresh outta the closet and not looking for anything even remotely resembling a relationship, so the infamous king of one-night stands sounds like a great conquest.

It's going to go super well for both of them.

When his family hires a new live-in housekeeper, she brings her young son, Steve Rogers, with her to live in the mansion. Though Steve misses their old neighborhood and his friends, the boy becomes Tony’s best friend, even if he’s not Steve’s. As they grow up together and experience the loss of their respective parents much too soon, Tony develops feelings for Steve. Unfortunately, the man is so painfully, so obviously straight that there’s no way anything can ever come of it.

Steve always brings his crush and fellow Avenger, Iron Woman, her morning coffee: a pumpkin swirl iced latte. It’s both a ritual and an excuse for small talk, even if he knows nothing can come of it. She’s a coworker, almost a subordinate, and he’s pretty sure it’s against S.H.I.E.L.D. policy to fraternize with team members, even if she’s not exactly on the payroll. Plus, as a gorgeous genius billionaire philanthropist, she has her pick of men, so it’s not like she’d be interested in him anyway.

And then Rhodey takes him aside and drops a bombshell: Tasha is actually lactose intolerant. She tolerates his terrible taste in coffee because she likes him.

Things at the tower were tense. Like, really tense. Neither Tony nor Steve had spoken to each other in over a week. Nobody was happy with this arrangement. So, Natasha took it upon herself to solve the issue before things got out of hand.
