Welcome to a new edition of the Cap-Iron Man Community Newsletter! We're a little late this month because there's so much going on! The Cap-Ironman Mid-Year Fanworks Alphabet Challenge 2021 starts on July 26th. The current round of Stony Bingo ends on July 31st. The Universe Medley Fest continues, and Big Bang writers are working on their drafts. If that's not enough to keep you busy, there's the upcoming Cap-IM Rec week! 😉

This newsletter gives you an overview of what's been happening at cap_ironman, which upcoming Steve/Tony events to look out for, and a round-up of all the wonderful things that our lovely Steve/Tony creators shared with us since the last newsletter.

• The Cap-Ironman Rec week kicks off on July 19th!


• The Cap-Ironman Mid-Year Fanworks Alphabet Challenge 2021 will run as a flash-fanworks event from July to August. How will it work? Find out here.


• The 2021 Big Bang is underway! Check out our event guidelines here—and don't forget that this year, podficcers, fanvidders, manip and gif artists can all claim summaries!


• It's the last days of Marvel Noir Month, then it's Avengers Assemble Month until the end of August 15! Creators to post and share works themed to this universe—no minimum requirements, and all worktypes and collabs welcome. You can see the full rules and schedule here.


• The masterpost for The Marvelling: A Noir Flash Exchange mini-event held for Marvel Noir month has been posted. Enjoy all the wonderful noir-inspired fanworks! Remember to leave kudos and comments 💜


• Round 6 of Cap-IM Comment Bingo is ongoing, and you can request a card here throughout the round.


• The current STONY Bingo ends on July 31; you can request a card throughout the round, or another card if you've already reached a bingo!


• Don't forget that as part of the Universe Medley Fest we're encouraging people to host universe-themed mini events of their own! However, you can always advertise or host your Stony and Steve & Tony events on cap_ironman platforms — for more info check out our guidelines.

• It's the last week of The SteveTony Games! Check out the final week challenges here.


• 100ships is a multifandom comm where the challenge is to create 100 different fanworks featuring 100 different (relation)ships using the prompt table provided.


• Sound, a multifandom and multimedia challenge with the focus on sounds or the sense of hearing, is running from July 10th - August 31st 2021


• All About Fluff is a multifandom and multimedia challenge that is all about fluff. The challenge runs from July 10th until August 31st, and you can post whenever you wish during that time.


• Pinch-hits is a community dedicated to advertising pinch hits for exchanges, challenges, and other fannish events. Check it out to see how you can participate.


• The Fancake theme for July is Platonic Life Partners. Fancake is a thematic recommendation community where all members are welcome to post recs, and fanworks of all shapes and sizes are accepted.


• Dark Fic Exchange's tag nominations close on July 15. Sign-ups open on July 16th and assingments due Oct. 1.


• A new round of Lights on Park Ave has begun; this is a low-pressure monthly prompt challenge. July's theme is "hedonism."


• Iddy Iddy Bang Bang is a panfandom mini-bang challenge for 5k idfic, art (including comics), and fanmixes. Sign-ups open July 10 and close July 17.
  
• You can request a card from Gen Prompt Bingo until July 31. It is a low commitment multi-fandom, multi-media bingo challenge where no prompts are specifically about romance or sex, but fills may be of any genre, style or rating.


• The Stony Trope Bingo creation period closes on September 1. You can see the cards on on their Tumblr.


• Sign-ups for the Season of Kink is a fic- and art-based bingo challenge that accepts all types of pairings – the only requirement is that the resulting fanwork is kinky! You can request a card until September 30.


• The second What2Finish charity auction to #StopAsianHate is starting up — viewing week starts July 18 and bidding runs July 25 through July 31.

This monthly roundup is for all fanworks people felt like sharing with the cap-ironman Community. To have your Steve/Tony works included in the roundups, you can:

• post or announce your work in one of our community spaces: our Dreamwidth, Livejournalor the #stony-recs channel on our Discord
• post to our Cap-Iron Man Bingo Collection on AO3 or Cap-Iron Man Fanworks Collection on AO3
• leave a fill in current SteveTony Kink Meme round
• post on Tumblr or Twitter and mention cap_ironman (so that we get a notification).

In the dead of night, as the world slept, Captain America and Iron Man made something new: An Avengers machine, a device built to save us all. The whole was made of parts: perfectly aligned individuals who serve a greater purpose.
And when called, they each came for different reasons.

Somewhere between the first milkshake and the last, Steve and Tony spend time together in their house. They're in love, and happy, despite the financial strain.

When Steve comes up to visit Toni for the first time since he started his transition, there are plenty of revelations to be had, and not just from Steve's end.
