All the art has been claimed and claims are now closed.

Creators, please take this time to look at the artworks and compile your wish list for the day of claiming. You will need to return to this post on Saturday, February 22, at 9:00 am EST (what time is this for me?) to click the CLAIMS SUBMISSION FORM LINK and submit your choices officially!

Artists, if you see any edits you'd like to make in the Universe or Do Not Wants sections of your entry, please contact the mods at cap.im.events@gmail.com or DM us on Discord as soon as possible! Remember, art claims are meant to be anonymous, so please refrain from discussing who the artwork belongs to!



This is the CLAIMS phase of the Reverse Bang, and where the writers and podficcers come in! An amazing 18 fanwork entries have been submitted and are awaiting writers to claim them. By claiming an artwork, you assert that you will collaborate with your artist(s) to produce a custom fanwork to accompany their artwork when posting begins in May. There is no penalty-free dropping out after this point.

Claims will be done through a google form, which will open at the time of claims. You will be required to submit three choices as part of your submission.

You will be sent an email to confirm your match and artwork.

The art previews are underneath a cut in the next part of the post. Please note that some of them might be NOT SAFE FOR WORK; view at your own discretion.

February - April 30: Writers write! Podficcers podfic! Artists finish their fanwork(s).
Saturday, April 19:Teams select their May posting dates
Monday, May 1st: Posting begins!

A recap on some of the main rules:

1. Please remember to read through our General Event Policies and the Reverse Bang Event Schedule and Process for this year’s challenge before going on to claim any art.


2. Each creator may participate in the 2025 RBB a maximum of three times, either by submitting 2 distinct artworks to be claimed and claiming an artwork or by submitting 1 distinct artwork and claiming 2 different artworks as a creator (if second claims go forward)


3. If you sign up as a co-creating team of writers/podficcers, this maximum remains in place.


4. If you sign up as a writer, you are commiting to write a completely new companion fic of at least 5,000 words.


5. If you sign up as a podficcer, you are commiting to creating a completely new companion podfic of at least 2,500 words.


6. This is a collaborative challenge: you are all expected to keep in touch with your team for the duration of the challenge. You must coordinate with your partner during the posting period.


7. All participants must be 18 years or older.

Please follow the claiming instructions below. Make sure you ONLY choose art that you want to write/podfic for. Please be aware that by signing up now you are fully committing to the challenge.

The ANY universe label means the artist is happy with receiving a fic set in any Marvel universe. Please don't choose art set in a universe you're unfamiliar with or unwilling to write.

Claiming Instructions

To claim a summary on February 22th, you will need to submit a google form with the following information:

• Username(s) including site name (This is how we, and your partner, will address you; please use one of your primary pseuds such as an AO3 or Tumblr username)


• Email (This is the address we will use to contact you and which your team partner will be given, so please make sure it is one which you check frequently!)


• Discord handle (Optional)


• Three choices (required) and optional choices (ART CODENAME, for example BRAVO. Please make sure you ONLY put down art that you are happy to produce fic for. Choose as few or as many artworks as you like


• Artist you don't want to be matched with (Optional)

We are requiring that you submit three options as we cannot guarantee that you will get your first choice. If all of your choices have already been claimed, we will contact you via Email with further steps. However, you may include more choices than the three minimum, if you wish, or list just one choice multiple times if there is only one artwork you are interested in. Remember that you are signing up for a collaborative event—please do not list codenames of fanwork that you would not be genuinely happy to engage with.

• Claims will be made on a first-come, first-served basis and you will be assigned the first option that is still available in your list.


• You may only claim once during Round 1, and you will be assigned a single art entry — this is to give everyone who can't be there for claims opening a chance to participate.


• Artists who have submitted two complete works: If you have two complete entries up for claims in the RBB, but you'd also like to claim an artwork, you can do so! Please note we ask that you only claim one artwork.


• Claimed art works will be crossed out on the DW claims post.


• Artists, remember that creators have different schedules and timezones, and that though we try to accommodate everyone, your art may not be claimed in the first few hours. Please be patient, and don’t look at claims as a competition.
  • This challenge is about pairing like-minded creators who will work together to produce exciting new Steve/Tony content; sometimes it takes a while for the right person to come along!
  
  
• Creators, if the claim time is inconvenient for you, we encourage you to find someone who will put in a claim for you by proxy.
• All your proxy has to do is submit the google form instead of you when the time comes, providing your username, email and claims as set out above in this post.
• If you do not already know someone who can do this for you, you can email the mod team (cap.im.events@gmail.com) for assistance in finding a proxy.

When matching is complete, we will send out emails to connect artists with their writers, along with further instructions.

NOTE: After you receive the email, PLEASE RESPOND DIRECTLY CONFIRMING you have received the information. Please wait until you have replied to this email before contacting your partner. After confirming the assignment email has been received, it is the artists’ and writers’ responsibilities to open communications with team members and keep in touch for the duration of the collaboration.
