My knowledge of Steve is the two Ultimate Avengers movies, assorted scans, and a lot of fanfic.

And oh yes, woobie factor! Big one ;) I simply love the arc reactor idea of the movie. I wrote a movie-verse fic that is currently in beta which has Tony getting the Extremis and still keeping the reactor. There's an explanation in it why. Since it doesn't have Steve/Tony in it I won't post it here, though.
