You have made me a very, very happy h/c girl here. *big grin* Utterly wonderful as a climax to the whole Zemo situation - you really succeeded in making what is essentially a frail old man into a very sinister villain. *shivers* I also love that Ant-Man continued to be awesome and save-the-day!guy.
When all of the soldiers and death rays and political power were stripped away, Zemo was nothing but one solitary old man -- an arrogant, evil man, but just a man nevertheless. Not someone to wake Steve up in the middle of the night, heart pounding and palms sweating. Not something to be haunted by. *hearts you both* I love how just defeating Zemo is not the end of the confrontation. It was right here that it felt like they finally won and it just made me break out into a huge grin.
And then Tony's collapse? *happy sigh* Everything I wanted and more! Lovely lead-up that Tony was gradually getting worse, and I love that he collapsed in Steve's arms and how medical-y Thor was and how they all were so worried about him. Great explanation of how they managed to plug him in - using the chestplate as an interface for charging really fits.
I admit part of me was shouting at Jan and Steve when they kept telling him to sit and rest. It's so rare for Tony to admit to needing something (for his health at that!) that I found myself shouting that they should just listen. ^_^
BTW, this is an earlier revelation than in the comics, yes? *curious*
