Hehe, we're awesome! :D Mine's got Steve as a Prefect in the 12th Legion during Ceaser's rise to power (which would technically segue into 13th, but upon watching Rome reruns the other day I decided to let it stay historically inaccurate so it doesn't sound like I'm ripping Rome totally) and eventually meet Tony, who's an engineer working on various projects (mostly in the Forum). Although in the story they're Titus and Marcus. (there aren't really Roman analogues of their names at all, Antony is the closest you get to Tony's, but that was a cognomen, which is essentially a last name and was kind of a weird and uncommon one.)
Hijinks ensue, of the historically wrong kind (two high ranking men around the same age wouldn't of had a relationship, or if they did, they would probably end up with some serious slander because of it. Teh ghey was only cool in a pedastric sense at this point in time.) and there's lots of angst and woe because it's Rome, and it's Rome during political upheaval, so there's got to be LOTS OF EMO ANGST. And I seem incapable of writing happy stories at the moment. (This post has been more of a history lesson than a plot sum-up. D'oh. D:)
And Nick Fury is there somehow. I haven't worked out how he fits in yet, but hey. You can't have a cracked out AU without Fury. And now I'm totally psyched to read yours! :)
