I just love the way this story is shaping up. And the world-building you've done with the aliens is fabulous. I'm now anticipating shifting alliances and whatnot with the chance for some very gray areas showing up - of the "enemy of my enemy" or "alliance of convenience" sort. So very cool.

Yay! The Argonians are kind of our pet species, now (vaguely Klingon-like, but furry! With prehensile tails! And the remnants of a decayed empire!). They represent many wasted hours arguing about what kinds of titles they should have and stealing things from Star Trek.
