I think Tony wouldn't have single problem using the shield as a sexual aid. Probaly would think it was hot too. But the second it becomes sentient it becomes competition. And I think Tony is the type that once he is serious he becomes possessive. Plus the commentary would be a big turn off. Namely Steve blushing and quickly running away.
