Fic Formatting Guidelines

Since we have such an influx of new members and people new to posting in general, [livejournal.com profile] pandanoai asked me to post a review of the fic posting format guidelines. It doesn't have to be exactly like this, but this is most of the pertinent information that most people want to know. ^_^

This is to make it easier for readers to know what they're about to click and keep fic from being passed over because people can't find the rating or summary.

Subject line: Fic Title (part/of#) (rating)

Body: Your fic header should look something like this -
Title: Title name
Author: lj user="yourljnamehere" (add < > to each side)
Rating: For ease of use please use the G - NC-17 system
Pairings/Characters: Tony or Steve gen fic is still fine.
Beta: For most fics over 500 words, a beta is recommended. Saves one from embarrassing typos. If you don't have a beta just ask one the community, I promise we don't bite and you should be able to find someone to help. [livejournal.com profile] runenklinge is in charge of the betas so please PM her concerning any of your needs, and also the Beta List is here.
Warnings: You do not need to warn for slash or sex. Please warn for death!fic (yes even if it might spoil your plot), BDSM, bondage, rape, dub-con, child-abuse. If you aren't sure if you should warn about something ask one of the mods or your beta.
A/N: Want to make a shout out or tell us where the idea came from? This is the place.

Summary: Please do not skip this we want to know what your fic is about.

Lj- cut or link - This can be a link to your journal post with the fic or an lj cut. It can be a quote from the fic or simply the title. Please no fake lj cuts, i.e. making link look like a lj cut.

You do not need to include archive permissions. The archive is now self-serve.
