When he’d read that Tony said she was from a government facility, he hadn’t thought it was one of those. He almost didn’t want to know what Tony had done to get the government to give her to him or why.

I love that Peter doesn't assume that Tony went out and kidnapped Maria or is holding her as insurance. Even Steve and Carol thought that he had gotten her in some nefarious way.
