I don't mind the set up at all, the allowing the readers to get reacquainted with the characters and the universe. The only thing that mars this effort is the fact that you have avoidable errors (spelling, typos) that tend to snag my eye and bump me out of the work. But hey, that's fine. I do that too. :D
