Mmm, like you, I love me some submissive!Steve. And I love the idea of Tony off in his lab, working, with one ear tuned to the baby monitor, sharing the wait and the anticipation along with Steve.
I also really like the idea that Steve's always working on his control, whether in the bedroom or the battlefield, and that he's well aware of his problems with patience. I see his trust in Tony as being very much in line with this, as part of their partnership, that Steve trusts Tony enough not only to do this scene but also to allow Tony into his own self-improvement process.
And really, you should write a sequel where the good thing--TONY!--comes to him and all is pr0ntastic and beautiful. :)
