Belated feedback

I first read this a while back, when I was just getting into Marvel comics and didn't know any of the characters aside from Tony very well, and I always thought I should come back and re-read it when I knew the rest of the Marvel-verse better and would appreciate it more. So, uh, quite a lot later, here I finally am!

I really enjoyed this a lot the first time round, and I loved it even more this time. I usually tend to describe myself as a gen fan, but what I really mean is that I like stories like this, regardless of whether they have romantic relationships in them; long and rich and covering a wide cast of characters and their lives they lead, not just a romance going on in a bubble isolated from the rest of the canon world.

You do such an impressive job of bringing in the full scope of the Marvel-verse and handling a massive cast without having the main story derailed or subplots trailing off. I loved that they all had their own issues and plotlines, and I was interested in all of them, even the aliens. I bonded with Isimud as much as Tony did, and felt kind of bad for him being misled by his new human friend.

I'm mostly an F4 girl these days, so I missed Reed and Sue - although you are so right that Reed is best kept away from invading aliens who need their tech fixed - but it was great to see the rest of the characters pop up. (I did notice your canon on the kids was a bit wonky - Valeria shouldn't exist yet, and Franklin's seven years older than she is and wouldn't have had his powers at this stage, but hey, half the canon writers can't keep their ages straight, so.)

There were so many brilliant little details I can hardly think to mention them. I loved Jonah on the radio broadcasts, and Daredevil and Spidey attaining boogeyman status among the aliens, and all the clever little aspects most other stories would gloss over like Clint's baby monkey issues and the potential for scurvy, and then that turning into the solution. I liked the Shocker and the other supervillains having their part to play (and Tony failing to even work out who he was for ages), I liked Carol using her military past to connect with the Navy guys, I liked, um... other stuff! Lots of it!

This was a really fantastic fic, and a wonderful, involving read. Really, really enjoyed it, and I hope you write more like it.
