You -got- it.
That daily life/superhero thing is exactly what I was trying to get across here and I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. Sometimes it's hard to know. When the timing of this chapter started to condense on me, I wasn't sure if that would work at all, but finally I just crossed my fingers and went with it.
This chapter is... not quite an embodiment of Murphy's law, but just one of those days/fortnights that never seems to end.
It was a stress test. They trusted each other, and they all passed.
Thank you for the comment about temporary canon. I've got a few ideas about where to go from here, but I like the way Peter ended this one for me, and I'm not sure if I should mess with it.
Peter truly is a wonderful kid, both artistically, personally, and as a hero. I think part of the point of this whole AU was seeing what he could be if he -wasn't- constantly isolated and under fire.
I like playing with that theme a lot, both for him and Tony.
Steve... Steve is just epic.
He's also very blonde and dealing with all the issues of a soldier returning home... but he figured out who to trust a lot sooner in this universe, and that counts for more than he'll ever know.
Thank you, and goodnight.
