No, I think lying to Captain America is one of those things that's just physically impossible, like licking your own elbow.

I love painter Steve, too. Really, I love all the little things about Steve that aren't Captain America. He's not a science nerd like Tony and Hank (and Reed, and the other Hank...), but he's still kind of a geek. Part of that is that he still likes things that were cool before he got frozen, but I think part of it is also that before the Super Soldier Serum, he didn't have the jock build, he had to have hobbies like art and reading.
