Presented by the San Diego Space Society (SD Space), the panel also includes Chris Radcliff (SD Space) and Dave Rankin (The Mars Society - San Diego cofounder). Jeff Berkwits (former Amazing Stories editor and two-time Hugo Award nominee) moderates. Room 24ABC

Cebulski, Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning (The Thanos Imperative), Jim McCann (Hawkeye & Mockingbird), senior editor Mark Paniccia, and more as they take on all questions! Room 6DE
5:30-6:30 Comics Academy and the Death of Captain America— Jeffrey Kahan (University of La Verne; author, Caped Crusaders 101) provide an example lesson plan and display how to use comic books in the classroom. David Rojas (founder of Comics Academy) lectures on "The Death of Captain America" and how to relate this story in the classroom and what it means for the future of comic book publishing. The Comics Academy seeks to foster an appreciation of comic books and graphic novels in academia; it promotes using comic books to spark investigation into academic subject areas and to teach abstract concepts in K-12 education. Room 24ABC
Friday, July 23
12:45-1:45 Marvel Animation— Hosted by an all-star cast of Marvel Animation talent and featuring a special guest of legendary proportions, this interactive game-show panel will get you more than excited about Marvel's new and continuing animated series. Cebulski, and creators Brian Michael Bendis,(Avengers), Matt Fraction (Invincible Iron Man), Jim McCann Hawkeye & Mockingbird), and more shed some light on the Heroic Age. Room 6BCF

Sunday, July 25
10:00-11:00 Jack Kirby Tribute— It's time once again to pay tribute to Jack "King" Kirby, the prolific writer/artist who co-created some of the world's most famous superheroes, including the Fantastic Four, the Hulk, Thor, Captain America, the New Gods, and many more. Kirby biographer and friend Mark Evanier (Kirby: King of Comics) hosts this annual Comic-Con tradition and is joined this year by writers Marv Wolfman (Tomb of Dracula, New Teen Titans), and Kurt Busiek (Astro City, JLA/Avengers) and other Kirby fanatics to discuss the King. Room 4
2:00-3:00 "The Batman Dreams of Hieronymus Machines," or The Matt Fraction Spotlight Panel— Comic-Con special guest Matt Fraction (Casanova, Invincible Iron Man, Uncanny X-Men, The Mighty Thor) performs "The Batman Dreams of Hieronymus Machines," a weird spoken-word history of comics, art, and his own experiences with both and how comics -- and art -- can save your life. Also: Bruce Lee, cave paintings, Stilt-Man, and profound brain injuries. First performed as a part of W00tstock 2.0, now it's coming to San Diego! Then, after that, probably a discussion and some Q&A and stuff moderated by Bill Hader (SNL, Paul, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World). Room 7AB

Kevin Smith
The BIG THING, obviously, is the Saturday Thor/Captain America panel. No cast members have confirmed yet; however, Kevin Feige has promised to reveal production stills of Chris Evans as Steve and Kenneth Branagh -- rumor has it in CosPlay -- will be on stage to answer all Thor related questions. I cannot stress BIG THING enough; it's 2010's Must See. If you want to get in, I suggest going early (even if they means you must still through Resident Evil 3D) [1]. Last year I tried to get into Iron Man II two hours before the panel; all I had to show for it was a sunburn.
For those making the pilgrimage to Fandom Mecca, is there there any plans for a
cap_ironman Meet Up? I'd be down for one. Saturday Night after the Thor/Captain America panel, perhaps? Go out and squee about what we just witnessed.
If not have a safe and fun time. And don't get kicked out for vuvuzela'ing Kevin Feige when talks about why Ed Norton won't return for the Hulk. *shift eyes* No... I had no plans for that... None at all...
