*flails* Oh my gosh, I'd left town the day this was posted and just got back and.. THIS is waiting for me!!! :O

Oh owww my heart--this hurt in all the worst but best ways. Right from the onset, every interaction Tasha has with the people she cares for is a painful, weighty thing. Gaah Happy's death T_T

I don't know if this was the appropriate reaction but I did happy little flails at how you reinforced what a careful balancing act Natasha's personal and private life is, her being a woman in the positions she's in. I love how utterly pragmatic Tasha comes across when she (basically) pops the question, and it's not that it's a cover exactly, but it's not NOT about them, either. Because how could it not be :)

And apologies for the weirdly vague-but-specific prompt too, dear writer--discussions of the depictions of gay superhero relationships with a comic-loving professor ended up involving a textless image of the famous Earth-3490 kiss, which he took at face value as Steve/Tony and gave it a strained, "Haha, well I think the veil was unnecessary.." and I didn't have the heart to tell him that it wasn't quite a mocking 'LOL femmy gay dudes' depiction, because they'd just gone and made it not!gay. So I was kind of feeling that at the time of the prompt brainstorm. I didn't want to give the impression that I was not VERY fond of Natasha Stark, because I am, and you wrote her so beautifully!! :D

As heartbreaking as the first few acts were, the denouement makes me terribly hopeful for Cap and Iron Maiden, in their personal as much as their political lives <3 Thank you Santa!!

*snerk* OH REED.
