I love a good mix of "mundane" details in otherwise fantastic stories. Property damage, government clearance, NYC and quinjet flight restrictions, Bucky's place getting messy since there's no butler etc. The Avengers paying for the damage they cause goes a long way towards explaining to me why public opinion of them is generally so continuously high. (It also makes for an interesting contrast btwn 616!Tony and movie!Tony and how much 616!Tony is way more invested in the Avengers in every way.)

And $1000/week is not a bad salary even now! Especially since any Avenger can also get free room and board as well. How different would Petey's life have been if he'd joined the Avengers back in the day? /mundane details geeking
