Cap_Ironman Weekly News, Week Ending 10 October 2012

Hello and welcome to the weekly [livejournal.com profile] cap_ironman/[community profile] cap_ironman newsletter.

Housekeeping Notes:
1. Please tag your entries. Team Mods try to sweep through around newsletter time, but it saves everyone trouble it you do it yourselves.
2. Please observe the comm's mandatory fanworks header policy. Short version: Fic and vids must include rating, warnings and universe; all other fanworks must include rating and warnings.

Artists:
1. Second Claims are still open on our very own Cap/Iron Man big bang. Click here, if you're interested.
2. If nothing there strikes your fancy, [livejournal.com profile] avengers_xbb is still looking for artists.

News:
Not really related to Steve/Tony, but this is pretty cool: a couple at DragonCon actually recreated Jean-Paul and Kyle's wedding from Astonishing X-Men #51

Iron Patriot will be showing up in the Ultimate Universe in December. I'm interested to see who'll be in the armour.

In Marvel Now! news, hail, hail the gang's all here in some pretty neat looking interlocking covers with the "Big Three" front and centre. Kieron Gillen has a long interview over at CBR about his plans for the Iron Man relaunch.

Just as Chris Evans has let slip the production start date for Cap 2, the writers of Cap the First have done a retrospective interview about the launching Steve into the movies.

Finally, Digital Spy has a piece about the special effects in Avengers, including Stark Tower, and promo images for Tony's IM3 armour are out.

Finally, if you're a new or recent member, hello and welcome! Our rules are here, and in the profile; this includes our header and warnings policies, so please read. If you're interested in the ship, you may want to read the Ship Manifesto, and consult the list of Slashy Moments (Now at one hundred and eighty moments). If you're confused by the whole universe thing, check out the multiverse info post. If you're planning to write for the comm, there are some tips on writing the pairing here, and the Avengers in general here; if you're having trouble finding a beta, or would like to offer your services as a beta, our beta list is here. If you're looking for the comm archive, it's Tales of Suspense, and it's automated - you can create an account and upload your fic. If you're looking for a particular story, why not try [livejournal.com profile] cap_im_finders? If you have any questions, you can comment here or PM a mod, that's me, [personal profile] garrideb and [personal profile] valtyr.

And feel free to post on-topic or off-topic stuff in the comments to this post! Just keep it reasonably safe for work, please.
