cap_ironman. For those of you who celebrate, I hope you had a good Thanksgiving. And a tolerable Black Friday. Sign-ups for the Gift Exchange have closed, but if you want a no-pressure way to participate, mosey on over to the list of community prompts. You can pick one to fill and it will be posted along with the others as a gift to cap_ironman. Someday someone is going to have to fill the Jackson Pollack one, I'm just saying.
If you signed up for the exchange and haven't gotten your assignment yet, refer to this post.
On a different note, in many places in the world toy drives are in full swing right now. Toy drives accept and even encourage the donation of children's comic books and graphic novels. Study after study has shown that reading comics improves literacy, and as we all know, superheroes are just plain fun. I realize not everyone can afford to make a donation, but I encourage everyone who can to buy a graphic novel or comic trade paperback to donate to a local toy drive.
Some good choices are any books in the Marvel Adventures line (if you can find them!) or Runaways vol. 1: Pride and Joy. Please recommend your favorite all-ages and young adult trades and graphic novels in the comments so we can get a good list of suggestions!
