New Year Friendsmeme/Party Post!
But, since this is both a friendsmeme and a party post, feel free to ignore the text box. And as a New Year's gift, have some bizarre Steve & Tony coloring pages.
Here's the best Steve/Tony coloring page I've found:

And here are the weirdest:

Here's the link to the LJ party post!

Something you love about Steve/Tony: Most recently, I've seen some scans from the new Avengers issues, and apparently the slashiness is going strong! I'm tempted to put it back on my pull list.
New Year's Resolution: I like spring equinox resolutions better, so not much. Write more, I guess.
Any other fandoms at the moment? I'm still puttering around in XMFC. Sometimes I feel like I fandom my hometown, in that I'll read any fic that mentions it.
Rec a fanwork (any fandom): Do You See What I See? was written for me for Secret_Mutant, and has the ladies of the Brotherhood infiltrating a swanky Christmas party, with a hint of Angel/Raven.
Oh, and I might as well rec some Madison fandom fics too ;-)
On, Wisconsin: A gen fic about Steve Rogers's ex-girlfriend Bernie after she leaves Steve and NYC. Being in Madison is a lot like being with Steve – everyone is unfailingly polite, if sometimes distracted, and they never seem to stop talking about Bucky.
I Think It's Best We Both Forgot: Teen Wolf, where Stiles, Scott and Allison go to UW-Madison for college. It's mostly Stiles angst and Stiles/Derek sex, though.
Waiting Games: XMFC, Shaw kidnaps Charles and Erik goes to rescue him. In Michigan's Upper Peninsula, so there's a stop in Madison and some discussion of Milwaukee's German heritage. Mostly Shaw being creepy, though.
What are you looking forward to in 2013? Catching up on comics, seeing James McAvoy's new movies, reading all the cap_ironman gift exchange fic & fan art.
Post a scan/gif/haiku: aaaand Photobucket isn't loading :(

But I appreciate the recs!

Something you love about Steve/Tony: 616 angst and history, Marvel Adventures BFF adorableness, MCU snark and potential hotness, and--hmm. I'm not sure how I'd describe Ult!Steve/Tony.
New Year's Resolution: New year's eve was spent getting signed onto a dating site by my friends. We'll see how it goes...
Any other fandoms at the moment? 2012 was spent primarily in Avengers movieverse fandom, though I'm reading more Marvel comics and reading a LOT of XMFC Charles/Erik fanfic. I dabbled in Teen Wolf fandom, but haven't decided if I'm sticking around.
Rec a fanwork (any fandom): Never Have I Ever by
What are you looking forward to in 2013? STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS

I once signed up to a geek-centric dating site, but the free membership was next to useless, so it never amounted to anything. I hope your experience is more fruitful!
Never Have I Ever looks good; I do love angst-humor combinations.

Thanks, I appreciate all the good vibes I can get! Honestly, I'm not even looking for a relationship at the moment, but it'd be nice to have someone at some point and if I don't look now, I never will. Ugh, I should have dated more in university.
is it me, or has LJ stopped working, period?
Something you love about Steve/Tony:
New Year's Resolution: go for quality writing over quantity. So if I write two good works over twenty middling ones, I'm good
Any other fandoms at the moment? Young Avengers, does that count?
Rec a fanwork (any fandom): The Ultimate Cash Crop, Nextwave. You're welcome
What are you looking forward to in 2013?

Autumn wind –

Don’t weep, insects –
Lovers, stars themselves,
Must part.

Something you love about Steve/Tony: The snark and their stupid need to sacrifice for each other.
New Year's Resolution: 1 non-school movie a week, 1 non-school book a month, start up with my karate again, take at least one cooking class, try to stress less about things I can't control.
Any other fandoms at the moment? Not really, but I am definitely in the market.
Rec a fanwork (any fandom): I am so super into The Lizzie Bennet Diaries right now, I am not even kidding.
What are you looking forward to in 2013? I am looking forward to new classes, new friends, and a new start. And Halloween. ALWAYS HALLOWEEN.
Post a scan/gif/haiku:
LSP, you goddess.
It *finally* started working again for me.
Nextwave fic! I know what I'll be reading tonight!
A poem is a perfectly acceptable alternative to a gif. And I like that one, even if it is sad.

their stupid need to sacrifice for each other
That was sooo close to being my reason, too ;-)
Hello :)
Username: Rathany
Something you love about Steve/Tony: They are perfect, balanced opposites.
New Year's Resolution: Do Epic Shit.
Any other fandoms at the moment? Lord of the Rings, Person of Interest
Rec a fanwork (any fandom): Everything by Ginger Haze. Like The project she started where she draws Hawkeye in the way women get drawn in comics. Not everything is showing up on that tag, but she does lots of awesome stuff.
What are you looking forward to in 2013? Going to the last performance of Trek in the Park. They are doing The Trouble with Tribbles. Other than that, my sights are mostly set on traveling I am going to do in 2014 and I am not thinking about 2013 much.
Post a scan/gif/haiku:
Oh, have this pic of a fanart a friend commissioned for me. I still need to do a better scan and send that back to the artist.
Poor guy had to endure me and a friend going on about Tony flying Steve around and what would happen if Tony would not let go. Then he came back from a con with this.

Something you love about Steve/Tony: They complete each other. They have a profound bound and I love how they interact, how they always end together, one searching the other to rebuild their "family" (aka the Avengers).
New Year's Resolution: Do what I want to do. Write more in English, draw more fanarts. Be myself.
Any other fandoms at the moment? Merlin, Teen Wolf, Sherlock BBC, 007-Skyfall, Star Trek, Grimm, Supernatural, Suits, Doctor Who, etc. Too many.
Rec a fanwork (any fandom): May I rec everything sdkay has ever done?
What are you looking forward to in 2013? STAR TREK - INTO DARKNESS, IRON MAN 3, FEELS. AND MORE FEELS.

Re: Hello :)
And may I add: awesome art, I'm looking forward to see it finished! It's stunning!

Something you love about Steve/Tony: I love how they complement each other, stuff like "doing everything better with you" (paraphrasing). Gosh, so much to love. I love them individually, too, very much, but even better together. (With other ships I tend to prefer one over the other, with these two I like them almost equally and it's lovely.)
New Year's Resolution: I don't make those *G*
Any other fandoms at the moment? Merlin, still lingering around Harry Potter a little. Lewis, The Hour, and I watch/read a lot of fan-friendly stuff.
Rec a fanwork (any fandom): Any of C0oma's art
What are you looking forward to in 2013? Star Trek: Into Darkness, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World, Marvel Now! Avengers.
Post a scan/gif/haiku: Two things:
1) This very explicit poem by Allen Ginsberg called 'Please Master' (Beware this is all about very kinky sex, in poetry form. I love it.)
2) Totally self-pimping my side-project of posting WTF-ery pics of Robert Downey Jr. (The man is a fountain of great faces, photo shoots and odd moments <3)
Re: Hello :)
Thanks for linking to the Hawkeye Initiative; I'm having a lot of vindictive fun looking through those posts. The poses comic book heroines get put in are absolutely ridiculous, so I love the attempt to even the score.
Epic shit, eh? Admirable resolution. I always have some vague plans for epic shit - planning an Improv Everywher-esque event, traveling, talking to people I admire at cons - but it never pans out. I might have to borrow this resolution.

Yes! Definitely one of my favorite aspects of Steve/Tony.
I finally saw the trailer to Star Trek: Into Darkness, and it does look exciting!

I love your WTF RDJ tumblr! Some of those photos really are... unique ;-)

Thanks *G* I have SO much fun finding stuff for it. He really is a special man - sometimes more special than others ;-)

Something you love about Steve/Tony: The snark, the lovely balance of their personalities coming together
New Year's Resolution: Write a little more each day and up word count goal a little higher, read a new series every month (whenever possible with school classes)
Any other fandoms at the moment? Oh gosh… in no particular order: X-Men, The Lord Of The Rings universe, Sailor Moon, Transformers, Star Trek, Star Wars, Claymore, Charmed, TMNT, Legend of the Seeker, White Collar, Sherlock BBC, Arrow, Doctor Who, Castle, Rizzoli & Isles (and so many others)
Rec a fanwork (any fandom): anything and everything by scifigrl47
What are you looking forward to in 2013? All of the new Marvel movies coming, the newest Star Trek, Pacific Rim :D
Post a scan/gif/haiku: Here's one of my favorites~

Re: Hello :)
I just got the scans made and hopefully to the artist so a finished version may happen!
Re: Hello :)
Re: Hello :)
I love the Hawkeye Initiative. Ridiculous poses have become such the norm that it can be hard to even see until you put men like that.
Feel free to share the resolution! Talking to people at cons can be hard.

I think you are absolutely right. Thankfully, I also think he finds it fun to do weird photo shoots, so that's a nice thing too. (I kind of love the man, partly for the oddities *S*) I guess to be a photographer and have someone who doesn't just go "no" to stuff must be fun as well.

Yeah, IKR? The trailer seems really good! I watched also the ten minutes that they aired before The Hobbit and now I'm waiting here, trying to keep calm.
Trying.

You seem like an awesome person, would you like to be friends? (Merlin is awesome <3)

Same here about your thought on the Teen Wolf, poked around it some but not sure if sticking around yet. Also yay for the liking of XMFC and the Charles/Erik pairing. :3
And yay for looking forward to the Star Trek movie too. <3

Aw, thanks! I would like that very much :-)

ATM I'm following "actively" (meaning that I'm drawing/writing/making graphics) about the ones listed in my presentation + Marvel Comics and Cinematic, obviously.
I'm a captive fan of TOO MANY fandoms. Every Sherlock Holmes related fandom, Tolkienverse, Terry Pratchett works, Neal Gaiman works too, GOOD OMENS I mean obviously, ASOIAF and GoT, TBBT, Inception, Leverage, Torchwood is in the DW fandom - at least in my head -, Sanctuary, Stargate, Perception, Downtown Abbey, every kind of Mythology, Once upon a time... Gah, can I stop with these? There are more, but as I say: TOO MANY.
hey, why not...
Something you love about Steve/Tony: Their very different but complimentary senses of humor, and their loyalty to the people they care about.
New Year's Resolution: Finish writing some things. Fic and professional.
Any other fandoms at the moment? X-Men First Class (really the primary), McFassy (James McAvoy/Michael Fassbender) RPS
Rec a fanwork (any fandom): Hmm. XMFC, Ananas Comosus, by winterhill, on AO3; glorious fix-it fic with candied pineapple: http://archiveofourown.org/works/587743
What are you looking forward to in 2013? All the James McAvoy movies! Also hopefully finally filing my dissertation and officially getting my doctorate.
Post a scan/gif/haiku: How about some Macbeth, instead? Yet I will try the last. Before my body/ I throw my warlike shield. Lay on, Macduff,/ And damn'd be him that first cries, "Hold, enough!"
Re: /sneaks in
Good luck on the word count. I need to work on that myself :)
Re: hey, why not...
Do you have a McAvoy movie you're looking forward to the most? I think Welcome to the Punch looks the most fun (although the description to Trance sounds trippy-fun too) but I just read Filth and now I'm super curious how they'll do that as a movie; it's an extremely internal book. And I want to see James McAvoy play such a dark, messed up character.
As I read your Shakespeare quote I pictured Charles lying in Erik's arms. I think your honey fic has forever associated that line with Charles/Erik in my head...

Something you love about Steve/Tony: How they complement each other, and, in certain ways, can subvert the meta-level things in their characters that I am less happy about. I also like how they can have opposing viewpoints and both have good points and be heroes. To be more shallow: I like imagining a brawny, supersoldier blond and and less-brawny, genius brunet together! I enjoy the idea of Steve holding Tony down. :D
New Year's Resolution: More art! Better art! Maybe figure out tumblr! Job stuff! And maybe read less bad fic so I have time for all this… -_-
Any other fandoms at the moment? Not really, though I read in almost anything and everything.
Rec a fanwork (any fandom): Don't Look too Closely (all the angles are oblique) by shaeie. Movieverse with dom!Tony and sub!Steve in a BDSM relationship. Dirty and sweet goodtimes.
What are you looking forward to in 2013? Winter being over! More fic and art! Doing more art! Trying some new things! IM3!
Post a scan/gif/haiku: Tony being ultra-crafty at hiding his secret id after a faked death:
