Welcome to the cap_ironman/cap_ironman newsletter, which I appear to have accidentally shifted to Wednesdays. Our biggest news is the election for our next community moderators. The polls are open until February 8th, 11:59 PM Central Standard Time, and you can either vote on LiveJournal or vote on DreamWidth, but don't vote on both communities.

Kieron Gillen interviewed with CBR about his current run on Iron Man, so if you're interested in hearing him deconstruct the first five issues or tease for the next story arc, it's all there. Greg Land also released a visual teaser for the next next arc, Secret Origin. The image shows a baby wearing an Iron Man helmet and red and gold socks.

CBR posted part two of their examination of Bendis's eight year Avengers run. This part features post-Siege Avengers comics. I appreciated this line: "New Avengers Finale" #1 […] told a story about the team coming together to finally take down one of their biggest foes. On the book's final pages, Bendis and Immonen rewarded long time fans of the series with a sequence that had the title characters enjoy a sunny walk through the park. Not going to lie, that's the page I had Bendis sign when I went to my first big comic convention.

On the film side of things, the new Iron Man III trailer debuted right after the Super Bowl blackout, prompting fans to ask if Tony Stark would save the superdome. Iron Man III's release date is May 3rd. The feature length anime "Iron Man: Rise of Technovore is out on DVD on April 16th.
