Iron Man 3 is nearly upon us. For you lucky folks in first release wave, there will be a reaction/discussion post where you can go crazy with the spoilers. Any other spoilery material -- be it meta, fic, art, feels, whatever -- posted to the comm for the next couple weeks must be properly marked/tagged and cut.

In Cap 2 news, have some early set pictures. Think the new look holds up to the concept art?

Man, comics are a downer this week. The Winter Soldier solo title is confirmed to be canceled at 19 issues. Seems like bad timing with the movie and all, unless Marvel intends to re-launch the series as more of a tie in. (See the recent Secret Avengers.)

Age of Ultron #6 delivered a couple nasty little surprises. (One of which isn't discussed in that interview, but those who've read it know what I mean.)

Last week gave us the fantastic Deadpool #7, which re-visited Tony's Demon in a Bottle phase -- with the expected twist. Worth tracking down even if you've never read Deadpool.

And next week kicks off the Greg Land-free (well, almost -- he's still doing the covers) Secret Origin arc, starting in Iron Man #9.

Hee, I tracked down a copy of Deadpool #7 after hearing so much about it and it was well worth the read! On so many levels, especially the dig at Liefeld at the end. (Now if only Land could go away permanently, too...)

New Mutants/X-Force was totally my thing back in the day, so I have both a soft spot for Deadpool and lingering scars from Liefeld. XD

Not seeing until May 2nd (wtf why?), but I did score tickets to the all-day IM, IM2, Avengers, IM3 marathon. So excite!

Oh damn, that sounds like fun. I never was brave enough to see the all-day LotR marathon in theaters, but this tempts me.

I could never do the LotR marathon in a theater. But with breaks in between each Marvel movie, oh yes. I have taken the day off from work but everyone already knew I was a giant geek anyway. Going with friends so we're making a party of it.
