This week, very sadly, Dwayne McDuffie died. You can read tributes to him at CBR and IGN.

For Cap's 70th birthday, Marvel is releasing a giant-size issue of Captain America #616 with a number of stories with different writers and artists. See some pages here. Appears to include Bucky fighting a bear.

There's a new Captain America and Falcon one-shot; from the preview, it might be Bucky rather than Steve, but it's still cute. As Sam remarks "Saving Captain America. It's what I do."

Nick Spencer, a new Marvel writer, is taking over Secret Avengers from Brubaker, and talks about it here.

If they let him keep at least one title where he can play with Bucky!Cap to his heart's content, he might even agree to that. Everybody wins!

First off, this? That is like distilled, clichéd essence of Captain America right there. Depending on the universe, Tony either had it on his wall or never let Steve live it down, I'm not sure which.

Dear Marvel: Of all the things I wish you would retcon permanently and pretend never happened "Snap" Wilson is probably #1.

Why will they not let that storyline die? They don't feel compelled to keep dragging Capwolf and that time in the 90s when Steve wore ugly armor and Tony had to save him on the astral plane back into the light of day.

Hmm, I might actually start picking up Secret Avengers if Brubaker's not writing it. That way I can finally have my Natasha fix again.
