Commander Steve and Director Tony

Those of you who are regular tumblr followers probably already know about this. I don't have a tumblr account but there are a few tumblrs I watch and the latest Steve/Tony thing showing up on tumblr is Commander Steve/Director Tony. This is a very good development. Mal, who apparently started all this, has headcannon on this. If you are wondering how this could possibly come about. But the fact that they weren't around at the same time timeline wise never stopped fans before. :P

So far it is mostly picture. I'm sure once the Big Bang is over we'll see some AU fics. Right guys? Pretty please?

I have a few tumblrs bookmarked. I know if I had an actual tumblr account I probably would get nothing done.:P

While I love the art from this idea. The fic potential makes me very happy as well.

Mostly cause you'd have Tony not brain deleted and not at the absolute bottom and you'll have Steve alive after he turned himself in for almost killing Tony. I'm assuming that they'll end up working together on something and that is how Steve will end up as Commander Rogers.

Then they'd actually get to have resolution! Because honestly right now in canon and fandom there is a tendency since Tony can't remember anything there can't be a confrontation so it is just easier to blame it all on Tony pre-brain deletion and wipe it under the rug. Even with Tony saying he's do the same thing. The thing is this Tony doesn't remember being betrayed by Steve, doesn't remember being almost Murdered by Steve, doesn't remember Steve dying or the events in confessions. So, there is no one to talk to about that stuff.

Admittedly, I've not read the Civil War yet, so I don't know all the history there. But, I do have a trade paper back dealing with sorta there greatest hits of arguments and make ups before that. A general theme seems to be in the end they don't see eye to eye, but they understand each other though they might not condone it and they move on as friends. With Civil War that never really happened. :(

I'm all for important meetings between the Director and the Commander as well of course. :P
