How does it work?
This is a secret fic and art exchange -- meaning, participants keep hush about the gift they're making and the identity of their recipient. Participants submit prompts/wants/dislikes so that they can be matched with a recipient of similar tastes. Gifts will be posted "anonymously" by your friendly neighborhood mods, with an author/artist reveal being made after a period of rampant speculation. *grin*

Gifts?
Fic and original art are acceptable gifts (no manips, etc). The choice of format is up to the giver, and it's possible that you may give art and receive fic, or vice versa. Due to the short nature of the exchange, we're encouraging authors not to get carried away writing an epic. There is a hard minimum word count of 1000 and a soft cap of 10k. Art is more difficult to gauge, but should be given roughly equivalent time and effort. Gifts must be created new for the exchange.

Drops and pinch hitters
Because the goal is for every participant to receive a gift, if you need to drop out of the exchange for any reason, please let the mods know as soon as possible. If you don't want to commit to the exchange, there may be opportunities to pinch hit (make a gift on short notice in case of a drop). Those will be posted to the comm as they arise.

Username:
E-mail:
Universe(s) you can create fic/art for: 616, MCU, Ults, EMH, MA:A, etc.
Do not want: Things you don't want to include in your art/fic or receive in your gift. (For example, infidelity, kidfic.)


Prompts: (3+ required) Give at least three brief summary-style prompts. For example, "Steve enters a bachelor auction for charity. Tony places the winning bid by proxy, but has second thoughts and doesn't show for the date. Steve puts the pieces together and is determined to make sure Tony gets his money's worth. Any universe."

Short/visual prompts: (4+ required) Activities, settings, emotions, quotes, songs, tropes, etc. Give at least four. For example, "Commander Rogers and Director Stark joyriding in a SHIELD flying car."

Do we need prompts and short/visual prompts? Do the short/visual prompts go together with the actual prompts so our gifter knows what we'd like to see?

Yes, please list prompts and short/visual prompts. The person making your gift will receive them all and be able to choose which one they'd like to use. Short/visual prompts are meant to be art friendly, but there is no rule that art has to be made from short prompts and fic from longer ones.

That's just for the ones who'd like to get a visual gift, fanart, right? If the recipient asks for fanfiction, s/he hasn't to add visual prompts, am I correct?

Nope. You don't get to choose what format gift you want. The person making it for you does. (They may not even decide whether to do art or fic until they've seen your prompts, as I know we have some fans who do both.) So you need to include both long prompts and short/visual prompts.

Ok it's 1:30 am so if I'm missing this, i'm sorry, but if you are not already crediting Jaweenta for the fanart in this post, could you add some? This picture is all over everywhere without credit (people even use it as a canon resource to show subtext >.>) and you know, she deserves some credit for this awesome art, and the more it's up on places without any the more it'll spread without any :/
