Reverse Bang tentative timeline

We’re looking at an art draft deadline of Feb 17th.  Art claims will probably take place Feb 22nd, with posting in May.

This year, there will be no regular artist sign up period.  Any artist who submits a draft prior to Feb 17th will be “signed up” for the fest.  :)

If you are an artist and would like to participate, please take note:

  • Submitted art MUST be created new for the fest.

  • You MAY NOT publicly post reverse bang art on any site before the fest reveal in May.

  • Art must focus on Steve and Tony, can be shippy or gen.

  • Art should tell a story that your author can expand in fic. (It’s difficult to write fic for simple portraits, for example.)

  • Digital and traditional media are fine (manips are not accepted).

  • You may submit multiple works, but keep in mind that you will be assigned multiple authors and you will be expected to maintain communications and collaborate with each of them.

If you are an author who would like to participate, hang tight and watch this space.  We’ll pester you guys with reminders over the next few weeks, along with further instructions.

How long does the fic need to be?

Minimum 6k, so not huge :) And short fic is VERY welcome!

'Tentative' means it could be postponed, a little? I'm asking because, art's due in just a month as it is. :/ Also, WIPs (70 per cent or so of done) are fine as per usual?

Uh, I don't think it will. We're already later into the year than we'd prefer to have it; it's kind of a hassle from this end to organise the fests right on top of each other.
But yes, we just need a draft on that date, not the finished art! Something that's showable for the authors to claim.
ETA: So you'll have a good deal longer to finish the art. If you want, go back and look at last year's claims post to see the various stages of unfinished the art was in then :) It was all fine.
