Oh, hey, it’s 2014! It’s newsletter time!
That also means time to say a big THANK YOU! to all of you who are members here, whether you post, chat, comment - or not :) Thank you. You are what makes this such a good community!

News
Beware of spoilers!
In movie news, there’s casting for Avengers: Age of Ultron, which tells u something about the villain - or one of them - for the movie.
There’s Vinyl figures coming for Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The Mandarin One-shot that’s been rumoured for a while has been anounced.

In comics news, Marvel is relaunching Ultimates with Marvel Ultimates NOW! (making me wonder how long their titles will be getting now).
The Hasbro figurines line is relaunched with a new Marvel Now style.
The May 2014 solicitations are announced.


Some of you may want to way in on Comics Alliance’s Best Artist poll.
And knowing this community, someone is bound to be interested in this article about The Hawkeyesation of titles - a Black Widow review that also deals with how Marvel’s titles have developed recently.

Community News
As you know, we finished up the holiday exchange. Everyone who participated was great, there’s so much good fic and art in there (and I still have to catch up to reading/looking!) Seriously, you were fab, thanks for a great exchange.
There’s a nifty Round Up of everything posted for your convenience :) This also means I’ve left out the Exchange works from the newsletter, so look at the round up post for those.

And with that exchange over, we’re gearing up to the Reverse Bang. Artists, if you want to participate, you have to submit artwork to us by February 17th. Authors, hang in there, there will be art to claim in late February. For more details, look here.

He's copying Hawkeye's color pallet, which is always a bad idea. A very, very bad idea.

Ah, just wondering. It just seemed like every time I went back to check which fic was which, it was still secretive. XD

And now I'm visualising the armor in Hawkeye's purple skirt. Wow. (Tony wearing it for a lark might be good, but the armor, just, no.)

*nods* Right you are, it is! Will be dealt with asap! (Sadly, I have things to do now of the variety that determines my income, so it has to wait till that's done.)

That is really not a mental image I needed. Though I suppose I did start it. Actually, no. Blaming Tony on this one completely, because purple armor. Tony, I know you want to look fabulous, but this is not the way.

No worries. Things dealing with income should come first. XD

*GG* Yeah, me neither. Sometimes I lament that I never learned to draw or do another visual art - I have such vivid pictures in my head sometimes.

I liked the article on the the Hawkeyesation of titles--thanks for linking to it! Now that I've read Hawkeye: My Life as a Weapon, and liked it despite not really caring about Clint previously, the prospect of more titles made in the same vein is appealing. And I do love Phil Noto's art. So I'm psyched for the new Black Widow title.

You're more than welcome! I haven't caught up with the title, but the article was interesting enough that I wanted to link it.
I've seen some of the Noto art for Black Widow and it's gorgeous! I have hopes for that title too :)
