This was from a kind of corny avengerkink prompt, where the prompt-er wanted Tony to forget all his sexual experience (essentially be ... re-virginized). The actual story, however, takes the prompt and makes it entertaining (involving the other Avengers a fair amount for a Steve/Tony story) and sweet, with some hot and fluffy sex to boot. :3 I'm recommending it because I feel like some people may be scared off by the summary or premise, but it's definitely worth taking a look at.

From the Holiday Fic Exchange. I feel like a lot of stories from the HE went unnoticed once they were on AO3 because so many were posted at once after the reveals, so I have to give this one a rec for time-bending adventures, depressing future silver fox Tony Stark (as seen in X-Factor #231) and an ultimately happy ending.

I have total bias with this one since it was gifted to me in the HE, buuut I'm going to rec it anyway because I love holiday things and Christmas-y fic tropes, and the world can always use more EMH fic. :'D missbecky did a great job of taking my prompt (Steve and Tony spending Christmas alone together) and making it into a lovely, cute, warm story.

W.I.P.E.'s Summary An AU of the events covering SIEGE and immediate after. When Tony is rebooted after deleting his brain, he's left with no memory of anything, and lingering programs that keep him from finding out everything he missed. Sometimes you just need to start over, but there's always a place in every plan for a backup.
Per Expectations Summary After the events of Without Irony (http://cap-ironman.livejournal.com/517354.html), Tony wakes up with a freshly rebooted memory and nearly all of his memories from before the deletion and none after. Nearly all isn't nearly enough, and what's missing just might be the most important thing he's ever forgotten. Tony's not sure he wants to remember, but if he doesn't it's going to be the death of him.
Why you're recommending the piece This combined with the above Sea Stars are what really drew me into the fandom.

Fic: The Emperor's Fury

Summary: Steve is an ex-gladiator. Tony wears a toga. Together, they litigate civil cases. Also a surprising amount of boating.
Why: Because valtyr makes Ancient Rome AU work so very well. It has drama and humor and a mystery and really really hot sex. (Like amazingly hot.) I love Roman Tony. Give it a try!

Fic: Someone to Love

Summary: What does it matter that it’d been because of Loki and his damn magic? He’d fallen in love with Steve once. He can do it again.
Why: This is a beautifully heartbreaking piece of writing. All the characters are so beautifully realized and I love the progression of Steve and Tony's friendship to relationship and Steve's pain and Tony's confusion when it all falls apart. Stunning.
