Wednesday's Emergency Support Chat for Avengers #30 was great. Thank you everyone who showed up both chatters and lurkers alike for making it that way. One of the things brought up was this awesome community elspethdixon has helped to put together that is reading the back issues of Avengers along with Captain America and Iron Man.

For those of you wanting to start out in the comics this is a great opportunity and you should check it out. They even have a post to help people out on where to buy the issues. Personally I'm just going to use my Marvel Unlimited Plan to read them. *rubs hands together*

Elspethdixon kindly put an advert in the comm so you can find it easily. It is listed under advertisements. The community started recently so it should be easy enough to catch up and get involved in the weekly discussion, or if you are shy, just to read them. I think my biggest issue will be limiting myself to one issue of each title a week.

In sad news, there will be no one-shot on the Captain America: The Winter Soldier blu-ray. On the bright side, I now know it will come out on blu-ray on September 9th.

If you want to contribute to the news portion of the newsletter, I ask for news links in the #cap-im channel on Friday.

The old man with the cane on A35 is most likely a deserumed Steve (see cover for Cap #23, which releases in August: http://www.comicbookresources.com/prev_img.php?pid=21263&disp=ilib&oty=1&oid=52933)
The person in the Iron Man armor doesn't look like Tony, imo...I'm calling it to possibly be Arno Stark with updated armor (see here: http://marvel.wikia.com/File:Arno_Stark_%28Earth-616%29_from_Iron_Man_Vol_5_23.NOW.jpg)
Obviously, Thor (without Mjolnir!) and Hulk. Speculation on who is Cap from what I've read: most popular seems to be Sam atm (which would rock) since he looks like him. The goggles are rather MCU-Sam-ish, as well.
