(poor Steve! Apparently people who hang out with Tro when she talks about her computer feel the same way ^_^ so yay? you're not alone!)
And ok... I like say this on a daily basis now... (it's kinda fun! try it some time) but Tony Stark must say "...or die trying" in every other issue of old school Iron Man (like ALL of Tales of Suspense). I think the first time was when he was fighting "The Angel" (lol) from the x-men (who was feeling like a "more evil person" because of radiation poisoning >_>) in TOS 45, and then he goes on to say it ALL THE TIME! Old school Tony was so fricken fantastic!

I just connected Tony in my mind to Charlie from Numbers...that would be a sweet-crossover. Then Charlie, Tony, Hank and Reed could math-babble all day long^^

Tales of Suspense is awesome. I love how Stan Lee tells you that Tony is "the most tragic superhero ever" at the end of practically every other issue (Also, the way no one ever notices that Tony's wearing a giant metal breastplate under his clothes).
I love Steve asleep with his head on the table, while Tony pontificates ^_^.

---and the fact that ALL of Tony's villains fall in love with him. wait...and his co-workers... HELL everyone loves Tony Stark in TOS- i think it's his real superpower- (funny cuz everyone hates him now... >.>)
I mean the Crimson Dynamo... ONE conversation and he's all "yes my love... i mean Iron Man... I will defect for you and create amazing things for you and your company! Will you come and visit me soon?"
Tony's like... "uh sure thing kitten"
And then he dies for Tony and Tony's all clueless... "he died for america" oh Tony... he totally died for you
And don't even get me started on the Mandarin! He's got it BAD for Tony Stark! "Join me Iron Man! Your pouty lips and and brave words have pierced my heart! I shall never be the same!"
Tony's like: "o_0 OMG no!"
Mandarin: "You will not join me?? :O Then NO ONE WILL HAVE YOU!! I shall destroy you Iron Man if it's the last thing I do!!!"
Oh and the fact that a bunch of people turn evil just cuz they did or didn't get enough attention from Tony. Like Hawkeye (no one's paying attention to me! >_> I'm totally better the Tony Stark... RIGHT TONY?? Pay attention to me!--- oh hey a pretty girl.) or I can't remember who it was but he worked for Tony...(Tony we had a meeting! What do you mean you had to cancel it!? Love me Tony Love me!!! I will make you pay attention to me by destroying all the things that get in our way! Like your company... and your friends >.>) Or the scarecrow... how silly of an origin is that? (Tony Stark thinks I'd make a great superhero! Now I'm evil! :D)
And I miss the days when Happy and Pepper were doing nothing but fight over who Tony loves more (before Tony turned Emo... so for about 6 issues lol)
Pepper: I'm the better assistant!

And Tony's completely clueless roaming around with his attache case "tra la la... communism :D"
Plus I don’t know what they had with phallic symbols back in the 50s but Ironman is seen “riding” “molesting” “tampering” and otherwise hanging out around rockets in like every single issue.
nothing trumps the "i shall dig my way out from the Netherworld (which I always say nether regions in my brain without meaning to) using these clippers! Nevermind they look exactly like scissors! They're actually Stark Industrial Grade!"
Priceless.

He really, really did. The old 60s cartoon episode based on that issue is, if possible, even slashier. Maybe it's actually hearing the dialogue said aloud.

It ended up being the old cartoon when Iron Man first encounters the Mandarin... it was TOTALLY just cut out from the comics with only their lips moving right! And the Mandarin's saying something like "you have defeated the moving walls trap I had laid for you Iron Man!"
And then Favs comes out to the front panel and everyone goes wild--- including me in all my fan-girl glory... and then he showed us the REAL clip from Iron Man... twice! Because he loves us! *nod*
