Comics Wednesday: Invicible Iron Man #2 and 1872 #4

It's the conclusion of 1872 and with Invincible Iron Man we are still just at the beginning! Any one want to squee, share feels or opinions?

If someone still want to talk about the conclusion of Civil War from last week, I'm there with you, too!

IIM #2 I'm speechless. I'm really excited about the next issue though!

And, damn, Madame Masque! I was cheering when she turned up in one #2, but this is getting better and better. The Masque is so gorgeous too!

I'm so over the moon with squee over Invincible Iron Man. This issue really was a joy for me too read and I'm definitely intrigued!

and, wow, I did not see that coming with 1872, with the hopefulness and the kick-ass possibilities! I kind of want this to be an ongoing no. I even do have the Steve/Tony fix-it fic idea I've been waiting for. Really loved it!

Yessss! I was hoping Madame Masque would continue to play a large part in the plot, and here she is! I love that the story doesn't shy away from how unhinged and dangerous she is, and I love that Tony clearly knows this and yet still tries to talk things out with her. (And the stealth armor is cool. :D)

Good banter between Tony and Friday. Bendis's dialogue quirks can annoy me sometime, but he's been reigning it in so far.

And the art continues to be gorgeous.

1872: Yay, Natasha! And lol, green Sasquatch.
Still in denial about Steve. If we got origins for IM and the Hulk...well everyone thought Cap died in the 40s...I want to believe! Red Wolf was supposed to be getting a run iirc, wonder if they’d continue a story line in 1872 with the character?

IIM#2: I love how the art makes Tony’s body language so expressive. Friday’s comments about Rhodey being jealous made me smile. Quite liked the interaction between Doom and Tony. (And Tony’s objections to magical teleportation!)

I'm wondering if there will be some sort of play on Captain America Reborn - if we get all the other heroes now?

Natasha whole story was seriously cool. I'm still so happy about it!

*shows up super late to the thread* yes to all!! I'll never get over 1872 Steve but I'm so excited for the old west Avengers haha. And I hope it just spurs more 1872 Steve/Tony fic and art. I loved that universe and there was so much potential for their relationship~
