Reverse Bang 2016 reminder

72040_900

There's less than three weeks until the art submissions are due for the Cap-Iron Man Reverse Bang 2016--the deadline is on Tuesday, February 23rd, 11:59 PM PST. We've received some submissions already and are very excited to see more!

(Note: if you submitted art and haven't gotten a confirmation email yet, please contact us again!)

If you're looking for ideas, check out the inspiration posts on tumblr: canon AUs, common stevetony tropes, and angst. If you have an idea and wonder how to show it, look at this post about telling a story with pictures.

When you have your submission ready, email us your file to cap.im.events@gmail.com. Your art doesn't have to be finished at this point, but the characters should be recognizable without additional labels. Your email should include the universe label for your submission (for example Marvel 616, MCU or ambiguous). New this year: if there is anything you do not want to see in your fic, please add this information to your submission email.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions about the challenge! You can send us an ask on tumblr, email us at cap.im.events@gmail.com, comment on this post, or ask on the #cap-im irc channel (how to connect to chat).

And as a reminder, the rules and schedule post is here.

I'm still on the fence if to play. Would it be OK to participate with a revised version of an art piece posted under a locked post?

Hi anon! We deliberated about this a bit, and it would probably depend on how much the piece was revised. The rules say a piece that has never been posted before. So if you're going to substantially change something about it, or re-draw it entirely, that would probably work. If you're going to minorly tweak something, that might not work. Probably your best bet would be to email us. If you're set against drawing something entirely new, send us a pic of the old piece and tell us how you intend to change it. Ultimately though we want to encourage artists to produce new work for this challenge, in the spirit of collaboration with the authors. Keep in mind that the art does not have to be finished at the time of submission, only clear enough that characters are recognizable. Hope that helps, and we hope to hear from you soon!
