Cap-IM Newsletter (January 4 - February 7)
Official Comm News:
Wow, what a month! Okay, we say this every month, but that's because there's always a lot going on! This month was no exception.
The Remix writing period has closed, and remixes will begin reveals on the 12th. Throughout this time and until reveals finish on the 21st, Remix Madness is open to everyone who wants to join in the fun. There is no commitment necessary for madness, and anyone can sign up at any time before the 21st, whether or not they're particpating in the main remix event.
The Reverse Bang arting period continues, with several more inspiration posts for artists to draw ideas from (and for the rest of us to just chat about what we love about Steve/Tony!). Art drafts are due by February 23rd, 11:59 PM PST.
The 2015 round of bingo closed, with four different people achieving blackout:
iloome,
jlightning_wolf,
pearl_unplanned, and
entropy_house, and everyone else who participated and created fills. Many thanks to Inoshi for creating such great prizes to hand out to our winners. The bingo masterlist for this round is here. Bingo 2016 Round 1 is now open and will run until July 31st. Anyone who would like a card can sign up here.
Unofficial Comm News:
Gamers of the comm, unite! We now have an (unofficial) cap-ironman group on Steam!
Marvel News:
We have previews for ANAD Avengers #5 (spoilers! lettered) and ANADA #6 (more spoilers! Also lettered), which are both supposed to be out this week (which seems weird, but if it's real then I won't complain). For #5, at least, it looks like some classic Avengers wackiness, but with very pretty art. More pretty art is to be found in Invincible Iron Man #6, out last week, and in the previews for the next few issues as well. Mmmm, pretty, pretty art. Hopefully it will provide comfort when Civil War II kicks off this spring.
In movie news, it's Trailers Weekend! And apparently there's a sporting match going on in-between trailers, or something. Aside from a Civil coke War between Ant-man and the Hulk, we also have this delightful new teaser-trailer!
Finally, in gaming news, Avengers Academy has launched! This is a pay-for-perks phone game with wacky, cracky dialogue, which has awesome cutscenes and also gameplay that apparently involves a lot of Loki on the dance floor.
Fanworks:
