cap_ironman | Tiny Reverse Bang 2017 Announcement!

Announcing the official kick-off of the Cap/IM Tiny Reverse Bang! Your mods this year are caz, navaan and laireshi!

If you haven’t participated before, the TRB kind of works like the regular Reverse Bang, but with a few tweaks. Artists submit art to the @capim-tinybang tumblr, working with four chosen themes. In June, the arts pieces will be posted one at a time as prompts, and any interested writers then respond with short fics. At the end of a set time period (about a week), we’ll do a round-up post before moving on to the next piece of art. You can see last year’s round-up masterlist here.

June 27: Artwork due to the @capim-tinybang tumblr or the cap.im.events@gmail.com email.

July 1: Posting of art begins/Writers respond with drabbles and ficlets

Guidelines for Artists:

1. Art prompts submitted must be newly created for this event.

2. We will accept up to two artworks per artist (we may open a second round for more art if time allows)

3. Art must be submitted to the @capim-tinybang tumblr account or the cap.im.events@gmail.com email in order to participate. (Please use the provided a header in your email with the subject “Tiny Bang Art Entry”.)

4. Artwork, as defined for this tiny bang are digital or traditional images (manips are not accepted)

5. Artwork must be focused on Steve and Tony…as in this is the “Cap/IM Tiny Reverse Bang” and the aim is to create more fanworks for the Steve/Tony pairing.

6. Artwork should set a scene that a writer can write at least 100 words about. (Keep in mind that your artwork will be speaking for itself, and you will not have the opportunity to explain your work.)

7. If you are scanning your artwork or taking a photograph then images must be clear and well-lit.

8. NSFW images MUST have a SFW thumbnail.

9. You may CHOOSE to:

a) submit a thumbnail/cropped image picture of your art and then link to your posted artwork

b) submit artwork directly to blog

Would you be okay with posting your art onto the AO3 event collection yourself or giving permission for the Cap-IM mods to do so on your behalf with a dedicated mod account (linking it to your tumblr of course):

Guidelines for Writers:

1. You will be writing a response fic to accompany the current posted art piece.

2. Drabbles/Ficlets must be 100 words minimum, but feel free to go over.

3. Drabbles/Ficlets must be newly created for the artwork, and can’t have been previously posted anywhere else or as part of a previous work in progress. TRB works may count for STONY BINGO if they also fill that challenge’s requirements.

4. Your fic must be focused on Steve and Tony and their relationship in any context (romantic, friendship etc.) and if there is shipping the endgame and focus should always be on the Steve/Tony pairing.

5. All participating writers must either create a tumblr post for their ficlets and use the “#capimtrb2017″ tag within the first 5 tags of their tumblr posts (if you want the mods to find you) OR post their work on AO3 to the event collection. Mentioning us in your tumblr post helps too.

6. All tumblr posts must use a header:

Link to ficlet: (AO3 link or wherever it is if not on tumblr)

7. Ficlets for posted artwork should be posted within the specified deadline (about a week for each art piece depending on how many artworks) if the author wishes to receive a badge or be included in the weekly round-up. All the fills posted before the end of the event in August/September will be included in the final masterlist.

Flat | Top-Level Comments Only

Apologies if this is an obvious question, but does the art have to include both Tony and Steve? Or can it be just one of them that could easily lend itself to shipperfic?

Hello!

No need to apologize. Only one of them in the art is fine, so long as it is something that easily lends itself as a Steve/Tony fic prompt, because the writers are supposed to come up with ideas for ficlets and fic quickly, like in a flashfic challenge.

We had one entry last year with only Tony. You can check it out on the tumblr or the Masterlist. All the other entries were with both Steve and Tony.
