Me too. Like "this movie is supposed to be about the rule of law and the social contract," for one simple proposal. And, "What the heck did Steve think was going to happen when he defied his own government and most of the rest of the world?" and "How many people did Steve and Bucky kill in their little old rampage?"
I have a long essay sort of planned on how early decisions, perfectly okay in themselves, have difficult consequences in the MCU. One of those concerns the decision -- for which there were good internal reasons -- to make Bucky adult and to merge his role with that of Arnie, which have had consequences for Steve's characterisation.
I may actually finish and post my own CW fix-it but I doubt anyone will want to read it, because it hinges on what any sensible Hydra scientist would have done in possession of both the Mind Stone, and the Winter Soldier.
I also love 'Irreparable'.

I've actually got a general plot and a couple of scenes written for a cacw fix-it but I don't know if I'll ever do anything with it. One, because thinking about cacw makes me frustrated and two, because I don't want to deal with all the Accords and government stuff. If I wrote one it would just be a fix-it for my Steve/Tony feelings.
But if you do post a CW fix-it I guarantee someone will read it lol I think I remember reading somewhere that the most popular type of fic in the Steve/Tony fandom was Civil War fix-its?? From what I see on Ao3 they seem to be pretty popular. And if you do post it I would love to read it!
