You can talk about anything to your heart's content, stony-related or otherwise! What's going on in your life? Looking forward to watching Spider-Man: Homecoming? And to those of you with vacations coming up, what are your plans?

I feel like eeeeveryone has a million items on their fandom to-do list. I've been moaning about this on-and-off but I really need to get my Tiny Reverse Bang submission in hahaha... (two more days until the deadline?)

Has anyone else submitted their TRB entry yet? (Or will submit soon?) I'm really excited to see all the work! And of course, the fic that'll get written :D And what else are you guys up to?

Yeah! I'm not even sure how this keeps happening? Oh wait, I know, I keep wanting to throw myself at every event I see. Well, it's not quite like that, but the temptation is always there. :') Good luck to everyone working on their submissions!

I KNOW! THEY'RE JUST SO FUN TO PARTICIPATE IN (and stressful. But a good kind of stress?). At least with TRB, the whole point is that it's a low-pressure and fun event, so I hope people have fun writing for it! (But I have a problem with waiting until the last minute to do any drawings, whoops.)

Are you writing anything for the BB? (I don't know if I'll be joining as an artist until the time comes, unfortunately, so that's something I'll have to play by ear!)

I finished my contribution for the AA Countdown around 1:00 am of the day I had to submit it, haha. And I finished one of the fics I wrote for the holiday event the very last day, too! This isn't making me look good, but I agree that it was a good kind of stress.

I don't think I will, since I have quite a to-do list when it comes to fics. I was thinking of joining as an artist, though! I'm not yet sure, but taking part in the SA3 will help me to see how ready I am to tackle that. :D

oh man I'm about to hit the rush with my TRB to make sure It's in on time, the deadline has seriously crept up on me. I can't wait to see everyone else's though!

Oh, yes, TRB. I've been waiting for all the submission, so we can start puzzling out how to reveal art prompts. XD

We DO have entries already, but as always I expect there will be more closer to the deadline.

Yes, looking forward to Homecoming! I planned to go see it the very first day it came out, but spoilers have been thrown around and I'm not sure what's going on anymore and I'm a bit worried, so I might see it the next day instead. I'm still excited about Tony and Peter, though.

On other news, I'm writing a bit as we speak and then I also have to keep working on some gifsets and then on an assignment I have coming up, but I spent yesterday reading a bunch of Ults fics and that was quite nice. :)

Spending your day reading fics definitely sounds nice, especially when it's Ults :D

Thank you! (Not quite, since I'm working on chibisquirt's STH request, but since it involves a bit of a manip, it's taking me longer. Actually, neither her request not yours is angsty! I do have angsty ideas I hope to work on after that, though. *rubs hands*)

Haha, I'm glad you liked that. XD I think we brainstormed that on the first outline.

And I'm cackling now, because I remember the other suggestion I made for that, that still needs to get written.

I'm seeing homecoming two days before it technically comes out, so I'm holding onto that excitement to make it worth it XD. I'm really excited about tony and peter too!

all the Ults! fic thats come out recently is gold right? I feel so blessed. And you're working on more gif sets? can't wait to see them ; )

It comes one day early over here, but it's a Thursday, so after hearing about some spoilers, I decided I could wait until Friday when the workweek is over.

I just managed to catch my local cinema was showing it on the 5th rather than just the 7th, and I've been so amped up I just had to pre book (my poor friends have to put up with my over excitement XD) and a Friday sounds like a pretty good day to see it, you might even get a fuller cinema which can be more fun cause you get crowd reactions!

It's so much fun because it s so different yet oddly similar in strange places

Yay that you get to see it early! And yes, you're right about the crowd! Even movies that tend to have less of an audience are a bit more packed on Fridays, I feel.

Yes! I particularly enjoy Steve being extra angry and Tony being such a tease.

Fridays and Saturdays are the busiest, and Tuesdays/Wednesdays are good if you want a quiet movie (I once saw a movie with just me and my dad in the theatre, it was amazing). But i've found for nerd movies having a crowd is good, because everyone is reacting the same ( plus little kids in costumes are adorable)

Yes, grouchy and melodramatic Steve is lovely, and Tony who seems at least to straight up not give a fuck at times is my favourite. He knows what he wants, and he's dying so he's gonna go for ut

I remember going once on Thursday, early afternoon, and we were like 10 people tops. It was comfy like watching a movie at home. But yes, seeing how everybody reacts can be nice too!

Its so nice, you can put your feet up on seats without being a dick. But yeah, I went to see Ultron in a crowded theatre and hearing everyone react to vision and the hammer was as funny as any joke in that film.

I sort of spoiled myself too with homecoming and now I wish I did not bec I don't know how to deal with the ending (if it's true) haha but I'm still seeing it on the premiere night, we already have tickets and then seeing it again on the Saturday of that week release XD

And I'm excited with your gif set, too! (But maybe more with your writing if it's about the two dorks we love haha)

Its been a long week for me, after my final show on Thursday marked the blissful end of college I've finally been able to dive head first into my massive art to-do list, starting with trying to finish my first TRB (so many faces, so little time) and mapping out a comic for the SA3 (I have two potential ideas... one stupid, one serious). I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with.

I've also booked my tickets to see homecoming on the 5th, and even with a few not so great spoilers, I'm still super pumped.

Thank you! and yeah, it was a long list wasn't it? I'm bad about finishing things before something new and important comes up, and whilst I work on something i'll get like 12 new ideas :'')

Well, as some of you know, I swore to myself that I wouldn't work on any other fic until I was done with my soulmate one because it's been languishing in WIP purgatory for years.............but I opened up another WIP doc yesterday and worked on that instead. It's a short ficlet, though, so I'm hoping to finish it soon although I wanted to finish it yesterday and post it today. :/ Kind of got discouraged while writing it (what else is new?), so we'll see what happens. I shelved it for months. That might happen again, but if it does, I won't be that disappointed. It's nice just being able to be write something.

Sometimes it's a good idea to do something new when you're stuck in a work, because forcing something along can do more harm than good! and It's not like you weren't still doing good work on something else! And I think it might be important to not get too stressed about something taking a while, it'll get there, and when it does I'm sure it'll be great! :D

It is! And you're still being productive. :) The WIP I want to finish is something I've been working on for three years, though, so I just want to get it done. Not looking forward to writing it, but I can't wait to finally be done with it if that ever happens. :P

Well, if you're still committed to finishing it after 3 years then that pretty awesome, because if a piece of art goes on longer than maybe 6 months for me thats when I give up xD. You can do it! It'll feel so good once its done

I think it's good to have multiple projects ongoing! Plus it's nice to seize inspiration when it hits :D

I definitely understand the frustration that comes with putting aside a work for too long, but it's common practice for writers to set something aside entirely and not look at it for months or a year, so don't be too hard on yourself! Plus it's fanwork, and that's supposed to be fun right? *laughs nervously*

I have soooooo many WIPs on my computer and plot bunnies in my head. D: I just wish I had more things completed.

And that's true! I just can't believe it's taking me three years to write this one fic. I don't know if I'll ever finish it lol.

Fanwork's supposed to be fun....and yet I stress out so much over it. But it's still fun! :P

I'm really sorry you're struggling with a story you want to write so much. Getting stuck sucks a lot, and well, I think taking a break from it it's one of the few things that help? Maybe you'll end up taking a lot of breaks from the story but you'll finish it eventually, even if a slow pace. Still, you can do it /o/.

Homecoming premiers in a few days around here, but I spoiled myself by accident and I'm not feeling enthusiastic about it anymore... I guess I got a little bit mad about some, erh, creative decisions.

Also, I swore I would use this long weekend to do some SERIOUS WRITING but I ended up procrastinating a lot, which happens when the things I’m working on get too difficult, or when I feel like I got stuck. And! I’m trying to plot my fic for the anthology, so my brain needs to start to get creative ASAP.

I’m looking forward TRB. FIRST TRB FOR ME ❤. (And I should try to work on my bingo prompts-- I write a lot of tiny things and then I forget about my bingo card and feel silly.)

When I get stuck, I try to outline and then push through to get it out at least as a really rough draft and then I can later go back and edit. By now the outlining and writing from outline (which I honestly only do when I'm stuck and need a roadmap to keep myself going) is something that works so well that it's not that rough at all anymore. :P Every writer is different though, so I can't say if this would work for you.

I'm excited for TRB, too! I hope you have a lot of fun! \o/

I'm in the same place with the Bingo card. I really need to get on it, haha. But the to-do-list is so long...

I'll try whatever, honestly! I know everyone's different, but my writing methods are super messy because I'm a very messy, easily distracted person. I usually make lists but sometimes that's not enough, so some sort of roadmap could be useful!

I keep writing and writing small things and forgetting my card's entire existence and then I look at it and get all "Kasi, you could have used one of these prompts, you FOOL."
